decided not to go camping because
weather forecast calls for rain/thunder/wind tomorrow and
it will start raining at 3am. blech

also my jerky tastes sorta nasty. honey badger would eat it,
but it makes me feel like i crashed in the andes and nobody
is coming to rescue so we have to slice up the other passengers
and dry them out...

Hi, I'm going to be visiting my Mom over Easter weekend and I wanted to ask you guys if there is anywhere in the D.C. area where you can find a 4.5 pick up match these days. I used to go to Rose Park in Georgetown back in the day but last time I went there wasn't much going on. Thanks.

JRStrikes, I'm totally down for playing any time you want, I have some time off until May 2nd so anytime now til then i'm pretty free as can be. I live over on Northshore Dr. now, near it's intersection on Wiehle, right near Lake Newport courts on Baron Cameron etc.
I bought a 2 bedroom condo here in February (hurray homeowner woes). But I have an old friend of mine as a roommate so don't think i'm rollin in $$ buyin up properties ala Sup.
There is a court right next to my new place, it's not the best quality, but not unbearable (no massive fissures or anything). I'm getting my Reston card soon, I wanna play over at the lake newport courts this summer if I am not too embarrassed by my level of play, i likes them courts there.

I'm gonna play today with a friend of mine, first time for 'real' play since hand surgery. I've been doing hitting sessions against a wall for a little over 2 weeks now. So hopefully I'm rehabbed enough to hit as much spin as Shcmad.

ZAPPP, if you ever make it out to Reston you'll have to drop by play some tennis. And like anyone that wants to come out here play tennis, come visit my new crib to hang!

Also, regardless of whether i'm ready to play passable tennis I HOPE that there will be a TWMAC Meet sometime relatively soon. It's been too long since i've seen everyone.

Hope everyone is well, Shcmad should be returning from the motherland in August. I dunno if he is lurking these boards, but he isn't playing much tennis over there, he has found himself a lil girlfriend, becoming a man like Sup always wanted *tear*.

I've got a birthday dinner to go to at 6:00pm so I'll miss most of the game. Hopefully I can get home in time to catch the end of it.

I played the game. 25 shots by the rangers and 33 by the caps = about 2 buckets of beer (10 beers). Now if we made them 60 IPA dogfish that would of been interesting.

Well, I made a big ass glass of Moscow Mule* and took a drink every time Neuvy touched the puck but was only buzzed by the end of the game.

been to both ... central was like modern/upscale "dinner", i think they are known for their lobster burger and snickers type dessert but not life altering good. haven't been to citronelle since their reno. tasting menu was very good, but didn't quite live up to expectations as it has been rated DC #1.

JRK, BTW, we have the same push cart for our daughter. Its funny, i made a similar video in march too!

I like Volkl, but that Opti-spot thing had major gimmick written all over it. If you have to have bright yellow paint and 3,9,6 and 12 on a racket to hit the sweetspot you don't need one of those rackets to begin with.

Yeah I know Citronelle is always #1 in DC, I've never eaten there. The Inn at Little Washington is always in the top 3 as well.

Ate at TenPenh since it's right across the street from me. Had this smoked lobster, it was pretty good.

You have the transforming car/walker as well? My wife bought that for Rio... now that I think about it, I've never bought anything for Rio, ever. I'm serious.

a. with the grain
b. against the grain (dats)

step 2. use racquet finder http://www.racquetfinder.com/ and enter your current stick and click search

step 3. build your dataset.
1. use an excel spreadsheet and capture all racquets suggested to you by racquet finder.
2. spider out to 6 degrees for every racquet suggested from the 1st degree and build your excel spreadsheet
3. rinse and repeat until spreadsheet contains every racquet suggested by racquet finder on the 1st degree to at least 4 degrees deep.

step 4. identify options.
1. the racquet most often appeared on your spreadsheet
2. the racquet not even mentioned by 6 degrees of racquet separation.
(at any point your have more than 2 selections, that means you didn't build your spreadsheet deep enough thus you have to go back and repeat the process to 10 degrees of separation)

michael_1265 and I are in just north of Richmond. We'd trek up to Fredericksburg...but I don't know of any people or places there that could host. Family life would probably keep the both of us from making a real road trip up to NoVa.

nevertheless -- there will be a tw meet up. somebody organize and contact tw for prizes. i want a $.50 tw vibration dampener and refuse to pay shipping.

NN is a nasty 90 minutes even from us. I dislike Huntington Park with a passion...except that going there...means we've won our local flight! Sadly, mostly of my highly successful 3.5 ladies time that got the VA bye into Sectionals this year...got bumped. So, they won't be going back (with their new 4.0 team) and neither will we (with our decimated 3.5 team). Bah!

Tennismonkey,

I now reside in the sunny state of Florida. It's headquarters for some of my upcoming adventures.

I could coordinate, but only as a hologram only telling you not to interfere with human history.

Dats can be a good coordinator if there are no 1) A/C units running within ear shot 2) his forehand and backhand are working that day, and 3) sappy doesn't mcbail on korean bbq right after.

Sounds like the moons need to align for that to work out.
