Boston looked very nervous in the third, which I suppose you can expect with all the pressure to not go 3 down. It was the best game of the playoffs so far imo, Thomas vs Montreal for the last 20 minutes was a great battle.

Man that was a nerve racking finish. The ice was tilted for the last 15 minutes. If Price didn't give away the game winner and if Kostitsyn didn't get that penalty that forced Montreal to defend when they had the momentum montreal would have taken it to overtime.
Congrats to Thomas though, solid. Also, Chara, even depleted and sick the guy is a monster. I love seeing players bounce off him when the go for a hit.

I think we can safely say things have really started now
I thought the Vancouver and Chicago game was good, that come back by the Sharks afterwards was incredible though.
I picked the Kings.
Seriously what a collapse. To let a team back like that in the playoffs just reeks of end of series. That lose has gotta hurt.
Also not to surprised at the Vancouver game. Its tough to sweep anyone in this league and Chicago is a solid 8 seed. They can score in bunches and showed it last night.
Now if Nashville can just keep up their solid play I can be a happy hockey fan.

Great comeback by the Sharks. I was so glad that they were able to put the puck in the goal 6 times to compensate for their terrible defense last night.

The Canucks must be truly sick of the sight of Chicago. I really think they are good enough to go very deep, it's just this mental block they seem to have against this one team that holds them back. They aren't suddenly a bad team, it's just this one match up that really gets to them.
Still, anything can happen in one game. Maybe the Blackhawks will get tight knowing the history they will make if they can get the job done, that seems to be Vancouver's only hope right now.

Hockey is a strange sport. This used to happen to the Senators against the dreaded Leafs back in the early to mid naughts. The Sens were the top team in the east and won the Presidents one year and yet they could never beat the lowly Leafs in the playoffs.
I predict that the Sens will never win the cup until they actually make it past the Leafs and the same goes for Vancouver vs. Chicago.

Last year we had some looting. The best part was that the crowed broke into a liquor store and left the adjacent Futureshop, with all the Flat screens on display intact......................classique!

In Montreal, the rioting is more intense when the team wins. When they loose people tend to just stumble home.
In 93, when they won the cup, cabs got lit on fire. A cabby once told me he's hated hockey ever since that run, even after being a lifelong habs fan.

What a story though. With everything that's happened between the two teams over the past 3 years, Luongo's breakdowns, coming back from 0-3 down, scoring shorthanded with a minute to go to force overtime in game 7 etc.. You couldn't make it up, what a fantastic series!

Hamrlick cost his team a goal because he was flopping like a fish and the tying PP was a high stick that hit Wozneski in the arm. I would be embarrassed if that was the team that represented my city.

Not really. If they lose Claude Julien finally gets the boot. I have hated the guy for like 3 years. Worse coach of a playoff team. They went 0 for 21 on the PP this series. At times it looked like a Benny Hill hockey team.

You have to be a Bruin fan to get it. We hear all the time from the Frenchies how we dont get hockey and are just a bunch of mindless goons. Yet their team cant seem to stay on their feet for longer than 10 secs.
