Not sure who is winning proably Mav.

But I think the Nucks win this series in 5 games. Boston would not be right if all the teams in the city win titles after all that crying they did prior to the Red Sox.

Sorry our teams dominated a few sports but the Bruins havnt done crap in a ling time. They have been the perennial chokers of the city always coming up short. They have had some real good teams as well that just fell on their face come playoff time.

And seriously the Canucks are getting smashed. Them and their little green men are gonna be crying all night long after the beating.

With the finals starting tomorrow, I should probably make my prediction.

It's a tough one, my head says Vancouver in 5, my heart says Boston in 7. Considering i'm out of the running and going with my head has let me down so far.. i'll go with my heart on this one :)

Boston in 7

Things I learned tonight.

1. Burrows is a biter. Seriously he needs at least 3 games for that. You dont bite someone ever in a hockey game.

2. The Sedins will flop. They didnt get the call but wow did one of them go down like hotsauce on a fat chick.

3. Goalies played well. The teams in front of them did not but the goalies did.

4. Offsides depends on the situation. under 30 secs it apparently no longer matters.

I rally hope the Bruins goon it up and hurt someone. I am not really one to cheer for injuries but I hope they end someones career. Vancouver is so dirty its crazy.

Torres comes in high every time. Borrows bit someone. Lapiere is an embarresment to the game and I hope the Sedins get it the worst.

I cant believe it but I want someones career to be ended.

It looks like it's going the way most people expected it to, which is a shame. Hopefully Boston can fight back on home ice.

Wow. That's bitter. And uncool.

Face it. We're the better team.
The truth - the better team is winning.

So whats the deal with the Points? Did MAV clinh it up, If VAN wins in 5 do I got a chance? Or does it not matter anymore?

Its crazy that the biter guy plays a monster game and gets the goal in OT to win it. I guess it was good that that Boston guy stuck his finger in his mouth and the biter guy accidently chomped down on it.

The problem with hockey is that one person's hard, clean check is another's "dirty play" (hope that makes sense). If Vancouver keeps pulling these stunts (biting the opponent's finger, etc) I'm going to have to cheer for Boston. Sorry 'nucks fans. BTW yes, I am aware that this is a physical game and people can/will get hurt. :)

Exactly. The Sisters cant stay standing, Burrows bites, Lapierre is just being himself, and they cry and cry about everything.

And did anyone else just laugh their butt off at Erhoff last night. He was all tough when grabbing someone from behind but as soon as Mcquaid showed up he turtled like a little girl. :)

That was pretty funny, although it was sensible. With the Vancouver defence patched up as it is, risking a fight with a tough defenceman wouldn't of been particularly clever.

I enjoyed seeing Thomas swinging the blocker at Burrows. His aggressive style, combined with his preference for keeping the puck alive rather than freezing it, and then the way he clears out the front of his net on his own.. He's amazing to watch.

Getting outscored 12-1 in the last two games is better?

When they have 4 wins I will brag about this. This is the Boston Bruins we are talking about. If anyone can screw this up its them.

Oh he wouldnt have gotten killed. Mcquaid is a tough guy Erhoff not so much. I thought the entire sequence was just hilarious. Marchand clotheslines Erhoff, flips a charging sister, drops the gloves with Ballard, and then Erhoff gets embarrassed by Mcquaid. Might be one of the funniest things I have ever seen in hockey.

Sedin barely came in with any speed, lol. That's why he didn't go flying into the boards, he just.. fell over Marchand.

You think they might go with Schneider in Boston? I saw him play some pretty good away games in the regular season, often in the arena's Luongo has struggled in.

At this point I have you have to stick with Luongo and hope those bad games are out of his system.

Think the Bruins will bruise the Canucks badly at home . then the showdown is on in Vancouver town.
A game 7 is in the making IMO.

This went well. A solid 5 goal performance to drive it back to Vancouver for a game 7. Now if tonights team could show up for game 7 Boston could win this thing. I have never seen two teams that are so different home than away.

Yeah, I don't think it would be a smart decision to put Schneider in.

Told you :) Schneider was very good when he came in, that deflection from Ryder would of gone past any goalie, whilst the 5 on 3 he was always up against it.

I found it a bit strange going with Luongo, Boston have him all figured out on home ice and it's been a tactic all year to go with Schneider in games away from home, against the teams Luongo struggles with.

I'm sure Luongo will be back to what he does best on wednesday and Vancouver will win, but this probably should of been Schneider's game from the start.

Schneider is a good goalie, but it wouldn't have been smart to start him. Hurts Luongo's confidence going into a game 7, and shakes up the team too much.

Maybe! Although the 3 soft goals Luongo let in shook the team up a whole lot more ;)

I'm a fan of Schneider, as the back up he's been thrown into some difficult situations, he was awesome in a regular season game in San Jose. Who knows, Vancouver probably would of still lost last night if he started, I just felt he would of given them the better chance of finishing it off in 6. Maybe Vigneault just wanted to make sure it would go 7 so they can receive the trophy in front of their own fans :)

I agree that Schneider has proven himself to be a very solid goalie. And yeah, starting him for game 6 would've been our best chance of winning in 6, but I think you need Luongo's confidence as high as possible for game 7, and the team's faith in him.

back to BC they go.. like i predicted.. wry self flattering smile.
I have a feeling the Bruins will take it but for the sake of hockey i feel for the Canucks. they are a bit sissy though and need to stand tall now.

I'm going with the Bruins. Honestly I don't care but being an American it seems fitting to go with the American team.

Bruins win so excuse me well I act like a jerk for a little.

Face it. We're the better team.

I would like to tell that you suck, you suck more than anyone that has ever sucked before. There will be a statue of suckiness built in your name for sucking so bad.

Could Vancouver have played with any less passion?

Terrible.

Once diving didnt work they didnt know what to do. The sisters have embarrassed the team and themselves this series. Burrows is an embarrassment to his family as is Lapierre. They were not the best team as they like to keep telling people and their fans are the worst fans in hockey.

Pegged Boston for the win even when the Canucks were up 2-0 in the series. 4-3 Boston

Close enough I guess. Couldn't say I felt any real excitement for this year's playoffs. Vancouver wasn't "Canada's team," like CBC tried to make it out to be. Wasn't too concerned with the result, game wasn't dramatic enough for a game 7, a meh game but w/e I still enjoyed watching. After they beat Montreal coming back from a 0-2 deficit, I had a gut feeling that Boston would probably win.

Which team is "Canada's team"? Just curious.

Wouldn't other Canadians want the Canucks to win since they were the only Canadian team left?

Boston has more Canadian born players. The stars on Vancouver are Swedes and an American. Add on top of that Nationalism is just stupid and there you go. At best its a marketing ploy to get more viewers. Although from what I am told that isnt needed in Canada for the Stanley Cup Finals.

But think of it this way Vancouver. You get Boston Pizza back next week under its rightful name.

As a longtime Red Wings fan, I had no real horse in this race; as a former Boston resident, though, I was rooting like hell for the Canucks. Watching them lie down and die like that--without a trace of skill or heart--made me happy that the Bruins won, though.
