federer has choked like this to tsonga before.

it shouldnt come as a surprise.

federer goes through patches where he can play fantastic and play like crap....

well done tsonga. federer needs to go back to the drawing board.

I don't mind Federer losing to Tsonga as much as losing to Berdych bothered me. That could either be because I'm more used to Federer losing early or because I like Tsonga's personality better.

If Tsonga wins this fine but he better give the remaining players a run for their money or even better win the thing.

It would be a shame to see him win over Federer only to fold like paper next round.

Ditto. I like Tsonga's game better.

Federer Playing for Humanity

Federer has the weight of the world on his shoulders right now. He is playing for humanity. How many people around the world will commit suicide if he loses. I think this loss will be much worse than his 2008 Wimbledon Final loss.

Yeah, also it was way more of a shock last year. But this still hurts, man. I mean, ughhhhh

federers gotta keep it to a break lead and then make one push and then maybe he'll come back -_-. i still cannot believe this is happening.

Where's the fire in Roger's belly? :(

he's the favorite here, he must be feeling great pressure. It's not like in the SF of the FO where he said he was thinking something like.......you are not going to escape after the 2 set lead.

He's getting a little closer on the service games I think. Wishful thinking maybe...

Fed has mono, Fed is injured, Fed is bored, Fed is a mental midget, whats next? Guys just admit Federer is being overpowered and outplayed.I'm a Fed fan too but I'm not ignorant

Who is saying that now?

Tsonga has been playing well and he deserves to be up in the 5th here.

Fed is being outplayed, won't stop me from considering he was way too passive in his play in 3d and 4th sets, he can't let Jo dictate completely.

Oh STFU! Nobody besides you is bringing up mono & injury here!

Calling Federer a mental midget isn't an excuse...It's criticism! Why don't you just go back in to Nadal's rear? It's obvious you're pretending to be balanced when in fact you're clearly a Nadal fan.

This just goes to show how that the commentators often get it wrong....they gave Tsonga no chance. Tsonga has the power to hit anyone off the court and obviosuly has been more on his game than usual in this Wimby. I mean, you don't beat Ferrer by accident. His serve is virtually unreturnable when it's on. All he's lacked is health and consistenncy but on any given day he's a threat to anyone....he beat down NAdal at the AO. The guy is a great player.

Tsonga really deserves this win. He's playing out of his mind. Djokovic/Tsonga potentially could be a very good semi.

Also, don't jump to conclusions just yet. The match is not over. We can congratulate Tsonga only after he closes this match. It ain't over till its over baby.
