I don't think this makes sense, but if I may attempt to translate: Crosscourt is anticipating the end of production for the PB10 mid. In his mind, the fact that some retailers are selling it for a reduced price is an indication that it will happen soon.

If this happens, he wants to know: What will be replacing it?

I would contest that reduced pricing is an indication that production will end in the near future. Even if that is true, there is no guarantee that there will be a mid-sized successor soon after. Maybe the 325 Organix 10 is all Volkl will release for now.

Either way, it's speculation unless someone has an inside scoop.

My recommendation: if you like the PB10, stock up. Especially since they are on sale. Furthermore, it has a strong enough following that I suspect you won't have a hard time reselling them later.

Happy hitting!

Cc I think T Mav said that the organix mid was delayed cos of the popularity of the pb10 mid and I'm sure he said the x10mid will be out later in the year, US open time ??

He was banned before. It is not his first time. He comes and goes.

You're right, it is not the first time he was banned.

Interestingly enough, I also came across some posts from another poster permanently banned before TM came along. He sounded exactly like TM, talking about the same topic and all. So I believe we can see him back shortly.

Message from the grave

.....the X10 Mid won't be out until 2013...... the X9 is 1mm thicker than the X10s outta the same mold, and has a 65 stiffness rating, so it is stiffer than the X10 295 at 64 and the X10 325 at 62.

The X10 specs are probably reversed... but thanks for relaying the info.

Give him my regards!

What does starting to be discontinued mean?

Starting to be discounted not starting to be discontinued -- some retailers are selling it for a reduced price.
Oops... my bad. As Tennis Maverick used to say: reading... IS FUNDAMENTAL.

What would X10 mid like? I am using X10 295g. I am loving it.
What would be difference between X10 mid and X10 295g? Does anyone know?

I'm still loving the X10 295 as well. X10 mid will be 5 sq. in. smaller. Heavier. Probably flexier. 16x19.

Meaghan - thank you. Has TM left the boards?

Blipblop - time to check your dosages.

But no seriously, what does this mean? I am still lost in this thread. If anything my "translation" was me thinking out loud trying to figure out what is going on here. Maybe it's time I just give up.

It usually means: When a frame is reduced in price, especially after it has been out for a while, that means that it getting cleared out of stock, thus being "discontinued." :)
