Yes I am, and I have my reasons.
All of you will get my answers whether I win(which I believe will happen), or lose. Believe it or not, there's a method to my madness.
I can see why you think Ferrer is a good choice, since he is consistent and tough on clay.
However, he has never done so well at RG.
Also, with the new balls they implemented last year, that can only favor big heavy hitters... Ferrer doesn't have the most over powering serve, and he while he has improved his inside-out forehand, he's really more of a counter puncher.
I just don't see how he's going to get past guys like Djokvic, Federer, and Nadal. Chances are very likely that in order for him to win the tournament, he'll have to beat 3 of the top 4 men in succession. While maybe he can get by Murray on a good day. There's no way that Ferrer on any level can get by Djokovic, Federer or Nadal on clay. Especially not in a 3 out of 5 set match, where those guys might not be at there absolute best, but can weather the storm and find their form after an hour or so... It's also worth mentioning that Nadal/Federer, and Djokovic defend better than Ferrer. So the only way you can really beat Djokvic and Nadal these days is to just simply outhit them, which isn't easy. You might see it done in 2 out of 3 set matches, but hardly anyone outside the top 4 is outhitting Djokovic/Nadal in a Grand Slam. This explains why you haven't seen either Djokovic or Nadal in the final of a Grand Slam since Australia 2010, and even then it was Fed/Murray...
This logic combined with sheer probability is why I made the bet I did.
You have 1 person that can win you the money, and that guy isn't named Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, or even Murray. I have 127 other guys in the draw, and I only need a combination of 2 of them to win the bet.
I'll understand that if you lose, you might flake out or drop off the face of the Earth. Hell, I'll even understand right now if you want to call it off. However, I'm not backing off, so don't think that's what I'm saying.
