would they also be present in the Redondo's?
I ask because mid hurling the racquet across the court last night in a match I swear I heard a similar sound
When I shake the Pro Kennex Ki 5 it sounds like there is sand in it. I also hear the same sound with the Pro Kennex Ki 5 PSE. Does anyone know what this is?

Can you ever get used to that sound? It feels too weird to me, but I never actually tried one for real.
That is the sound of arm protection my friend.
I can't hear it at all unless I bring it up to my head and intentionally shake it...then its very clear. I've never once noticed it while playing. I have the Ki5.

Same here.
No... BTW.. is this thread for real??? The Pro Kennex line very famous for the Kinetic technology...
why yes my question was real to be honest, I just play with racquets I like the feel of so am unaware of this tech, so I take it it is in the Redondo?

No... it is not in the Redondo. BTW.. it is quite easy to read the product info posted on this site to obtain that info. It is quite clear from the product info it does not include the Redondo. All the frames that employ the Kinetic technolgy are listed in the same area.
MrMike, thanks for posting that video. I just bought the Ki5 PSE for a more arm-friendly racket and I thought my racquet was broken or something when I heard the "sandy" noise. It's fairly noticeable sitting in my quiet office, but I'm assuming it won't be a distraction while playing. The noise should only apply to the Kinetic line.
I think you are exaggerating to be kind. I have six on them, my buddies have them and reading several hundred posts on TW I have never had anyone say they could hear them when playing. If you can hear it when playing, and I doubt you can then you have a defective racket. We really have to shake it up right on someones ear to hear it and most of the time they remark they cannot hear it.I for one could not get over the sound. It was like playing tennis with an African Rain Stick.
