It doesn't matter as much to me as shorts never seem to be that short on me.

My shorts seem to have normal length. Maybe he just wore them higher than usual, this could happen everytime - it just depends on what is more comfortable for a player.

@all: yeah the change in his RF shorts is so obvious! I hope that they stick with the old "formal" length for the retail ones though.

Played today. They were fine - never really felt any different than any other shorts while playing. Good inner thigh ventilation. Nice and light. The only time you feel the length is when you're standing still between points and feel them on your knees.

No. I played pretty early - went to work at 5AM and got to the courts at 330PM - only 1 other court being used. And it's been very hot out here - 86 by the ocean - usually 72 - probably too hot for many.

Prices are just ripoffs, even for quality Nike shirts, it is not even reasonable. We are being tricked into buying the brand not the clothing, and I am too guilty of this.

I did find a 100% organic 2011 wimbledon RF v-neck shirt at my local Nike clearance store for $10! I bought that thing in a heartbeat haha.

Doesn't look like I'll be buying anything at the open this year. Most of all the tshirts and stuff looks like crap.

Even if they have another madball shirt I'm not buying it. Nike cotton shirts don't fit me, XL is too big and L is too small. Their dri fit stuff fits better but those shirts slogans are dumb.

I guess we are paying generally too much when it comes to clothing anyway, so it is not just Nike, unfortunately.

For me, buying that Nike stuff is like buying a football dress - you show that you are fan of sth/someone, you like to behave a bit like a pro, etc. etc. And that justifies the price sometimes.

The empty TWE boxes are all around my living room. But my bank account is crying on the other side.

For outfit combination: The USO outfit will be an outfit for "special matches", the red or obsidian shirt with obsidian shorts and the gray or anthrazite shirt with the white shorts will be training outfits.

+1. How much should a dress shirt cost? High end ones make RF shirts look cheap. And what about Lacoste shirts? Solid color with a croc logo - thick cotton, not Dri-fit - $78. What did it cost to make? $0.50?

I think it's mainly the idea of owning something exclusive. Why do people pay 2000€+ just for a watch? (and it was called cheap in the magazine where I saw it) Nobody can tell me that a watch is worth this amount of money. If, for example, a Lacoste shirt would cost 5$, everybody might buy it. If it costs 78$, just a few people own it and it becomes exclusive. Therefore, on the one hand, I am happy that Nike prices aren't exploding that much, on the other hand 30$ for a cap or a shirt are still a lot of money.

I buy this kind of stuff with the thought in mind that it is a lot of money - but I buy it as something special for me, not like I would buy some casual clothes for random activities.

And I have just gotten my uni blue crew. The fit seems to be baggier than the polo (for the same size of course). I'll post pics later or maybe tmr which is when I will get the white shorts as well
