Eh, did you read the post I responded to? She mentioned Nameless specifically and my answer was to that part.

Nadal's prime is different per surface:
Clay: 2005-2010 I guess is reasonable, or 2006-2010 as he was much more beatable in 2005 but nobody could capatilize.
Outdoor hard courts: mid 2008-still ongoing
Grass: 2007-2010 I would say.
Indoors: not really sure, basically whenever he isnt completely beat up by the end of the year and can play some the decent level of indoor tennis (2005 until season ending before WTF, 2006, 2010) he can sometimes muster.
I would agree except for grass, I think you're underrating his 2011 Wimbledon form, I'd take that year over 2007 despite his high level of play in 2007 Wimbledon final. This is only the 2nd Wimbledon in which Nadal wasn't pushed to five sets in early rounds and his serve was excellent throughout the tourney and especially in the final.
cc0509 and TMF do and repeatedly insist upon it, though I suppose they wouldnt fall under the category of sane Federer fans (if such a thing even exists on Planet TW).
I never said nadal was at his peak in 2005. Federer's was definitely between 2004-2007.
And why are you criticizing TW posters so much and posting on here 24/7?
If you hate it so much here because of the Fed fans why do you keep coming here?
You mean the ones about how Nadal was in massive decline in 2011 (while of course Fed was amazing in 2008)?
I could believe TMF would say something like that but cc0509 I remember saying Nadal's prime to be 2008-2011 or something similar.
I think Federer was in his prime 2003-2007 and Nadal's prime was 2007-2011. So no, I think Nadal is "just" past his prime(not much) but like Federer who was able to win some slams post prime, I think Nadal will too. Don't worry.
Well, somebody like Nadalagassi has to rock the *******s tuchus. Or else this will be just another MTF or something............
I'd even settle for 08-11 prime and 08-10 peak for Nadal as long I don't get a mish mash of parts of several different years.

Nadal's level was higher at Wimby in 2007 and in 2008. If Nadal had played the way he did in either the 2007 final or the 2008 final last year,he doesn't lose to Djesus, whose worst surface is grass. I think it is you who is vastly overrating Nadal's form in 2011,and by a huge margin.
Nadal’s level was very high on 2011 Wimbledon overall. He did underperform in the final though.

I don't know, I wasn't too overwhelmed with him personally.

The thing about Nadal is he progressed rather quickly. Becoming the best on clay at just 19, pushing Hewitt, Roddick and Safin at 17/18, beating Federer at 17/18, ect. There’s no way Nadal was as good on hard courts in 2005 like he’d be later on, some good victories notwithstanding. He wasn’t a mug either.
I think that is only in reference to his injury breaks and problems. For example, Rafa was definitely in his prime in 2009.
No. The ones about Nadal’s prime on different surfaces. I could be misremembering though, maybe it was another poster.

why not get into it slowly by starting after Aussie open ?
One word: Points.
He's got 1,200 ranking points on the line at the Aussie. If he just let all of those go he would definitely drop out of the top 4, possibly as low as 6-8. That means he won't be getting his own quarter of the draw when he comes back, thereby running into Novak, Andy, Roger, in the quarters or earlier. Things could tumble out of control pretty quick if he does come back rusty.
Even if he just plays the Aussie and makes the 2nd week it will go a long way toward preserving his ranking.
But didnt Rafa say that he loves competition :twisted::twisted:
MTF is the toilet of internet tennis forums. This place is a sanctuary compared to that hell pit.
That's what she just said. Its Mtf u shud not go there
Reading fail? I said MTF.
I think he was trying to say that it was a tennis forum for men (and not just about men's tennis), so you shouldn't go there. It was a fail either way.
