Nike and Adidas skeptics, come with me to the promised land...

And try Asics shoes, after nearly a decade of bitterly sticking to nike/adidas shoes, my feet have found a revolution. Both the GR's and Solution Speed are like heaven in a tennis shoe. Come with me everybody!

In. I also have stubbornly remained loyal to Adidas for many years, but just recieved a pair of Asics Gel Game 4 treads. I have not played in them yet, but the fit and comfort out of the box is amazing and I'm quite sure I'll be more than satisfied with court performance. Tremendous comfort and fit.

I prefer the Solutions over the Resolutions. But, try Yonex 308, great balance of stability and comfort. My prefered tennis shoe is the 308.

Unfortunately they don't make any in my size, so I am stuck with what I can find that fits.

I personally have not tried any version of the Gel Resolutions but I have two pairs of the green speed solutions and love them. Just ordered a pair of the new black/yellow colorway. I mainly play hard courts and get pretty good durability considering they are a lightweight speed oriented shoe. Also have some of the Adizero Feather IIs but have not played in them yet as I just really like the speed solutions.

You'll like the feather 2, it's a great shoe.

Its all about the black/yellow resolutions. The feather line is way too flimsy, the asics actually provide support+lightweight

Tried both Speed Solution and Resolution and prefer the Speed Solutions which are really light and has decent cushion but after a couple hours on the court, my feet get a bit sore. The Vapor 9s on the other hand are really plush and I love the way they keep your midfoot nice and snug.

I play in GR4s, but I recently tried on the 308s. I liked everything about the 308s except that for me the arch was too close to the heel, so I ordered a couple pair of closeout GR4s.

Never understand how people can tell others which shoes to get. Everybody's feet are different, you're own two feet are probably not even the same. I liked my GR2's from Asics, but the breathe 2k10 and now the cc feather II have proven to be the best fit for my feet.

Asics makes great high quality shoes, but they're not for everyone.

I'll be trying my new Gel Game 4 shoes tonight on the court....I've been looking forward to this all week. These things feel so incredible right out of the box.

Adidas Bercuda: narrow, didn't fit well being the right size, heel slippage, felt stifling and tight.

I returned them for...

Asics Gel Game 4: Felt like they were made for my feet. Perfect fit, amazingly comfortable, no slippage.

Can't wait...

Shoes are not something I buy online for the same reason....I want to try them on first. But my kids ordered me Adidas Bercuda for Christmas despite my specific wishes NOT to get shoes that were ordered online. So I had no choice. Thankfully, the Asics Gel Game 4 were fantastic and all props' to TW for their superior customer service and turnaround.

The only other pair of Asics I've ever had was back in the mid 90's and my experience was exactly the same....unbelievable comfort from the first wearing. This leads me to believe that Asics is superior. I've been an Adidas guy forever, but truth be told....my last several pair of Adidas for casual wear (Superstars/shell toe) have not been up to previous standards. I think Adidas has slipped significantly.

Been there, done that.
Was in love with the fif/feel/whatever. Realized the longevity and stability was not there, and am happily back to the Barricades.
Can't beat them -- last me about 9-10 months (with the free replacement) and are ~$65 per pair...

Agreed, I can't really speak to the barricade but otherwise the shoes you mentioned (2k10 and feathers) might be more comfortable for you but they certainly aren't constructed better.

OP is right. I'm just now finishing off a pair of the red/black GR4s. They have been great. I have another pair ready in the box. AND should be receiving my blue/black GR5s from TW any day now!

IMO, the V9 is every bit as good as the GR4, but maybe a tad less durable outsole. Both are awesome.

The V9 is certainly a great shoe, but the price in conjunction with low durability just makes it a bad value.

I really like Yonex and New Balance right now, after years of loyalty to adidas and nike. Wilson was hot last year but i see a big dropoff in design and look since the Ikon which seemed to sell poorly.

Asics is getting a lot of good buzz but they are just too damn zany colorful for my liking.

Yep Vapor 9s are really on another level

Not sure I agree...The v9 is about the same price as the GR4 and GR5.

GRs are more durable+warranty, so they when you combine the two the GRs end up being at least half the price, probably less (when you take the timespan of both pairs vs. 1 pair of v9s)

Ok. No argument from me. I have multiple pairs of GR4 and V9...love 'em all.

Same here ones for practice one is for matches

Thinking of going back to this setup. Gr4 about the most comfy, cushioned shoe out there for my particular foot but the Vapor 9's are lighter and I feel much quicker on that first step, and I love the lower 'court feel', so I've been using them for awhile now... But the legs and joints sometimes miss that more plush Asics ride.

Get the vapors like them more than asics

Sick of paying $140 for Barricades they don't even come out with good colors. Nikes have been too narrow for me. What kind of fit are Asics ?
