Monfils's star power has only gotten him to No. 7 in the world. Murray's talent and drive has gotten him to No. 2 in the world on two occasions.

Monfils has won every grand slam he has played. He's beaten all the greats.
He has never lost a match.
He just lets other guys have there time to shine and win grandslams
Love Monfils ability to make fans happy, hate his lack of desire to win all that he can. Maybe, he couldn't be happy to compete if he only focused on winning. I think Monfils desire is to be happy in life, and that for him keeps him from having a killer instinct to win. He doesn't seem like he'd be happy to only work towards winning, without having the joy he has in playing the way he does.
Monfils seem to want joy more than anything, which includes being a GS winner. I don't doubt that had Monfils gotten rid of his defensive game and desired to be a winner, that he wouldn't have been, but he has chosen a different path.

I want to know why Floyd lets "Lil wayne" walk to the ring with him? That guy sounds worse than he looks. Monfils is a cool dude and a nice player but he doesn't deserve to be spoken of in the same sentence with Andy Murray. Andy is a top player who has beaten the top guys when it counts, just like Floyd Mayweather. When he comes back from this injury I expect him to start up just where he left off... winning slams and masters series events.
