Oklahoma and A&M over UCLA. Too good. Sometimes Clark we don't even have to make a fool out of you on here, you do it to yourself.
The question was a subjective one: Which programs would I choose? I don't like certain coaches or programs, even though they are highly ranked. Come back when your reading comprehension skills are up to par.
I think their team will be improved this year. In fact, I think Oklahoma, Baylor and Texas will all be better this year, and the Big 12 will be more nationally competitive than last year as a result.
I personally dislike everything to do with the University of Texas sports programs, but no doubt it could be a great place for some players.
Note that I assumed that you were talking about Texas when you said UT. People within a tiny radius of Knoxville sometimes think that UT refers to Tennessee.

I'm curious, why do you dislike UT athletic programs? Because they are so big, that they have their own network or something?

Oklahoma has some very impressive facilities. Yet, putting them as a top 5 program is a stretch. They may have the best facilities in the nation but it takes more than facilities to make a program.
I may be wrong in the long run. Facilities and money have helped Oregon in football.

What does a Program need to be top 5?
1. Good Coaches
2. Facilities
3. Players
4. Few Distractions?
I doubt just money gets it done.

Tennis seems to be lowest on the totem pole in Oregon though. It's their worst sport by far with not much attempt to improve the program.
It has to do with the obnoxiousness of their sports (particularly football and basketball) fans in the 1970s and 1980s. I was there a couple of years before transferring out. Mostly stuff that is not really relevant to tennis.
I also grew up in Dallas with two parents who went to Oklahoma and two older brothers who went to SMU, so Texas was not a big favorite in our house.
USC and UVA
because who doesn't like a winner? and these two win all the indoor and outdoor team titles in the land nowadays - also both great coaches - and fun places to go to college, VERY different i realize, but charlottesville is fun also

the team closest to breaking into the big two that doesn't have a coach i wouldn't want to play for *cough* ty tucker *cough* - again not a bad location to have fun for four years

as much grief as i give them on here about the SEC overrated thing and how far away from the above truly elite teams i still think they are in recent years - well, they're the best program in the deepest tennis conference, which makes for a lot of fun matches - athens is a great college town - and diaz always seems to get something special out of his guys - dawgie dawg isn't a big enough downside to keep it off my list haha, especially when the NCAAs are there approximately always

loved my time there and Durham is 10x better than most outsiders give it credit for (plus chapel hill is right down the street when you need a new scene for the weekend, and is pretty sweet, even if the tarheels are evil), tennis teams have great facilities and great support (given that the tennis courts are right smack in the middle of K-ville and the athletic complex, and often promotions bring the drunk basketball tenting crowd into the warmth for a couple hours, and only a short stone's throw from the west campus dorms), and ramsey would be an absolutely fantastic young coach to play for

UofMemphis plays at The Racquet Club of Memphis. The club hosts the US National Indoor. Was a 500 for years and will be a 250 this year.

Memphis just plays there they don't own the facility, although that's still pretty good
You still play college or are you finished? They use the entire facility. Have a few dual matches each year indoor and out. They've hosted men's and women's ITA regions indoors over the years there. The American conference tournament will be played there this spring outdoors.

I didnt think SEC football players did anything that menial?
Or, if the SEC fans hear that a football player is stealing a stereo from a dorm room, they will all go over there to help him get away with it so he won't get caught and have an adverse impact on the football team's success.

Another Memphis fan!?!? I like the pick. 4 seniors, 1 junior and a Freshan who beat Pradella this fall. Maybe another stong January add in the works like last spring. The Tigers will be good.
