I just had to say regardless, this is a great picture... with the droplets, angle, focus, space. Bravo to the camerawork

Many of these are serve returns I think. It would make sense as there would be more incoming pace and the photographer would have more time to set up the shot.

That last one at Roland Garros - many of my favorites are from that angle. There is some magnificent photography regularly from RG and AO.

One thing that I've definitely noticed from looking at all these pics is that Federer is one of the few pros who is actually looking at the ball at the moment of contact(and often even after follow through). Most seemed to be looking at where they want to hit to or the opponent. One guy's eyes were actually closed.

exactly.
they all look anywhere BUT the ball except for one or two. Fed is exceptional in that regard.
weird because it help tremendously for me when i decide to keep my eyes while i make contact.
