I live in SW Florida and it's really humid now. Was wondering what your favorite liquid is during a tennis match. I just drink lots of water but am thinking about stepping it up as I'm getting pretty bushed especially in singles play.

HEED by Hammer Nutrition and NUUN for electrolytes.

Pocari Sweat - discovered by accident about a year ago, though here in the UK that means paying over the top for an import :(

Powder form for me, so can mix to taste, store it or travel with it when needed.

Combination of Staminade and water works for me, healthy carbohydrate meals after matches, watermelon and sustagen drink is good too.

During the game, coconut water is a good option, but I don't often use it. After practice or a game, I like to chug some Muscle Milk.

I use this racing mx in socal in summer, kinda weird but if it's hi energy and fluid loss kind of day honestly V8 juice. Has a ton of sodium and potassium. Also a lot of water.

I'm a SW Florida resident myself. It is hot outside! I've been like you, typically drinking bottled water.

There is a product called Amino 1 from MusclePharm that works pretty well for me and is relatively inexpensive.

Nuun is amazing in my opinion.

I like to put 3 tablets (instead of 2) in 1 liter of water. Add one advocate rehydrate into that mix for some extra vitamins and carbohydrates.

I won't cramp and can go all day

Absolutely. I go with both as the HEED adds some calories to the electrolyte. After fading in my second match in a local tournament the other evening, I think I require more carbs...

Central Florida here. One of my friends recently recommended Nuun to me. I have a 64 oz container with a lot of ice, so I add 3 tablets to it instead of 4 unless I run out of water (which I did today then I add more). I also take some salt stick pills during the match (up to 8). When I run low on fuel, I eat an energy goo during a changeover. Sometimes I need two goos, other days none.

Trail mix has worked well for me on changeovers!

I play with a few doctors, one recommended Pedialyte. I found the generic version at my local Dollar Tree, so they are (you guessed it) $1 for a 16.9 oz bottle. I drink one in the morning and then another 1 or 2 throughout the day during tournament weekends in the summer....really helps with soreness and cramps. I also like PowerAde Zero (fruit punch and grape, the other flavors not so good), 68 cents for a 32oz at my local WallyWorld. I can't do the regular PowerAde or Gatorade....too much sugar.
