Think the honeymoon is coming to an end for me :( loved the playability with fresh strings but as soon as the tension dropped it became a bit too unpredictable.

Tried upping tension by a couple of pounds and elbow started complaining, so unfortunately I think it may have to go in the classifieds. Might give it a try with full bed Monogut first.

Will be demoing the Phantom 100 18x20 soon, see how it compares to my Q Tours.

Nice first hit with Firewire Boost Hybrid in the Tour 100(310g) with 51lbs . Nice soft feeling, good spin and very good comfort for FB Poly. I think the ghostwire cross string is perfect to soften up the firm main string, but a little bit to much power, so I have to go up next time with 2lbs .

I have the same problem with it after tension dropped by gut/poly hybrid, but I think I string too low for 16/18. Next try gut with Hawk 17 cross with 55/53lbs.

Don't know about gut mains for this frame. Much digging the FireWire boost @ 53 option. (Ghostwire is exceptional!)

In Prince Tour 100(310)?
I've only used GW as a cross myself in this stick, so I'm just extrapolating that it would be better with a poly main over the syngut main I used.

Major kudos if you gave full bed GW a shot!

Edit: dammit ghost 1.22 just snapped on me doing the crosses at 55 lbs on the 7th cross! It's almost as fragile as ZX[emoji17]! I hate you physics! One great think about a soft main is that it allows the cross to go in a close to reference tension.

Ok so this is now a poly-syngut job.

This frame absolutely needs poly mains to perform it's best. What gets put on the crosses is dependent on feel, but for best performance, poly mains are essential, no doubt!

It seems like general rules of tension stability does not apply to this 16x18 frame. Velocity hit really well initially and then lost control a bit. Same goes for x-perience. I am going to try RS lyon. Another thing that this frame may require a higher than regular tension to string and let it drop to stable tension... for example... i should have strung x-perience 56lbs or so and have it drop to high 40s... i am still experimenting.. frame is super solid.. does everything well.. except string pattern little too open and does lose control as the strings loosen up... there is a big portion of all this related to my low level of skill i am sure but regardless, the racquet has to work for me after all...

You can try 1.30 gauge poly, i play with x-one/yptp 24.5/23.5 and i a m happy, before that velocity FB at 24kg was too low after the first hour hit and cut it

Why dont you try the O3 version with the ports? More comfortable and a 16/19 string bed

If you dont have a sensitive arn go poly at mains, certainly performs better
I do have a sensitive arm. Not too horrible, which is why I sometimes get brave enough to experiment. I do want to try this RS Lyon. Reviews say it's quite comfortable, low power and super praise about control. We shall see how it plays.. I think TT100(310) is a comfortable enough frame that I can try a full bed of soft co-poly. Had no issues with full bed of x-perience except lack of control, which i am starting to think that string really lacks... It's feels more like a multi with power and spin but no control.

Right now, I am back and forth between 2 racquets. Yonex VCP97 and TT100 (310)... VCP is slightly less comfortable than TT100(310) and requires a little bit more skill from the user but for me, power level and control combo is perfect on VCP97... I am just hoping arm doesn't flake on me with VCP. TT100(310) is more comfortable, more stable, more powerful and little less maneuverable. Feel is better on VCP, IMO. I am trying x-perience on VCP97 at a higher tension; if it doesnt work then i am done with that string... I will also test RS Lyon with TT100 (310) and report back.

Why dont you try a more comfortable poly from Lyon? Poly tour pro for example if you want to play full bed

How did you like x-perience? I liked it the first time I hit with it, but after my 2nd outing I'm finding it very stiff. It reminds me of a more powerful version of 4G but with better dampening. I find it pretty puzzling from most of the reviews that say this is a soft poly. I do like the solid feel it provides but Cream is still much softer. For reference I strung it 50/46 with Legend/X-perience

interesting... i actually no issues with comfort... as i mentioned, the only issue is I had is too much power and not enough control (sometimes unpredictable launch angle etc).

I've hit a couple more times. I need to make the grip a tad larger, will spin on some leather. Perhaps add a touch of lead, 6 g, at 12 oclock.

Finding out that I"m really liking poly strings for the first time in my life! I've got a blend here at 45 lbs., and I'm seeing I need to up this to perhaps 53 or 54.

Don't forget tighter mains. Makes a difference.

Also, O-ports work best at medium stiffness, imho.

I am actually a bit more keen on the ported 290 version given the lighter weight. I play better with lower swingweight I realise. Hopefully it makes it to Australia. I would demo it along side a few other lighter ported frames.

But not a lot of people use Prince in Europe any more. Ever since Prince went AWOL a few years ago in Europe most retailers have filled Prince's void with WilHeadBabY. Hell even Dunlop-Srixon has a better presence here (London UK).

I agree, marketing is everything, they are great rackets but without advertising and local representatives they can not sell big

I am practically the lone Prince guy at nearly everywhere I play. Apart from a senior or two that wields the o3 silver or o3 white I don't see prince's. But I like being the oddball out of the bunch. When I hit a good shot with my phantom 100p it's like sending a message across - it's the man that makes the weapon.

I spotted someone with the Dunlop cx200 2 weeks ago. First Dunlop I've seen since their return.

In my club I have spotted one Textreme Tour user, one Beast user, and I am the only Phantom user. Only 2-3 coaches started to use the new Dunlop CX racquets. The rest all use racquets from the big 3. Surprisingly no sighting of Yonex users among adults, only a couple of under-10 boys are using Yonex.

I agree with many of you that Prince is putting out top quality (the best in the business IMO) frames. The lack of popularity seems to have many of you worried. Pro endorsement means very little, but the lack of advertising and the lack of local dealers does. Prince isn't going anywhere because they are owned by the huge conglomerate Authentic Brands Group and TW is the US distributor. Pro shops (including mine) are coming back on board and advertising $s should follow. If you are still worried, STOCK UP!
What major differences between Tour 100 310 2019 and Tour 100P 2019?
Just a different drill pattern.<br /><br />Honestly think the 8 extra holes account for the stock weight difference but then the additional string almost makes up for it.<br /><br />My issue with the 100p is that an 18×20 pattern should ideally be more dense in the center.<br /><br />My issue with the 310 is it's the biggest string eater I've ever played! Also the launch is pretty high.<br /><br />If playing mostly singles think the 100p is best way to go but the 310 is the better dubs frame, at least for me.

One final thing is that the 100p is bit tension sensitive and can start feeling boardy at a certain point. In contrast, the 310 almost begs to be strung tight.

The coaches are presumably sponsored by Dunlop.

How many of you have tried the lighter (290g) version? Is it feeling the same as with the "standard" one? I'm thinking about getting the lighter model and adding about 10-15 grams.
