Showed it again against Mertens after a sluggish start. She's got power and finesse which is a tough combo. Too many cookie cutters out there so it's nice to see someone with a bit more substance to their game. Reminds me of how I like to play tennis, mix up pace and touch. I'm just significantly worse at it than she is.

She played some great points in her semi. Lots of power, but she also knew how to hit some wicked slices off of both sides, and she would change the pace of the rally by throwing in a loopy ball when she wanted to. Smart play.
