That sounds like "A real guitar player plays with his head, not with his guitar." Wouldn't that be an air guitar player?

You could say that, but the guitar player is designed to complement, where as the tennis player is expected to compete which is the exact opposite.

I'm going to offer the opposite of what's asked -- unless you hit like Tomic, the most misleading piece of advice is to "lead with your buttcap", causing many to overemphasize the element and end up with faulty swings. Focusing on the legs, weight transfer and contact point is way more important.

If you're having trouble keeping your eyes at the contact point and can't help but peek at your shot just remember you suck.

Best advice I ever read and it came from here
That is a more brutal point of what I mentioned about laser focus on watching the ball. But it’s true. Gets me every-time when my strokes fall off.

We take it that "lead with your buttcap" refers to the lag and snap.
Jeff just did a video on this. Says that 95% of players should not do this as it will lead to inconsistent contact... Tend to agree with this.

Compare the line between your two shoulders and the lines between current ATP and WTA players. Compare the rotations back and then forward for forehands and backhands. This involves twisting your spine and abdomen, so evaluate your risks for this motion.
