2021 NHL Playoffs

Honestly I'm not. Not a good enough defense or goalie to get it done in the playoffs. Same thing dooming them last year dooming them this year. They're the most entertaining team in the league but too finesse for the playoffs.

Grubauer is such trash! COL was completely outcoached from game 3 to game 6. They maximized their opportunities when at home and being able to get the matchups on the ice vs MacKinnon's line. I watched until the end of the 2nd period last night and fell asleep. Woke up and saw the 6-3 final and wasnt surprised. I think TB is going to be really tough to beat. Im a NYR fan and I hope TB beats them 1000-0 every game. LOL

This post makes me want to do a 2-week long Pick 4 binge boxing 1940 , a favorite chant I participated in at many a rivalry game at The Old Barn back in the 80s.

VGK was too deep for Les Habs in Game 1, 4-1. Price was right once when he stoned Stone and did a Patrick Roy style eye wink after his magic act. Game 2 is in Sin City on Wednesday before history is made on Friday when VGK becomes the first U.S. based team to play in Canada this season.

SFPC! Losing 2-1 to The Bolts sucks. Gotta win Game 4 to insure coming back to The Old Barn for at least one more game, hopefully to close the cap cheaters out.

How hilarious was it watching the commentators talk about how great Fleury is at playing the puck right as he fumbles it for a goal. :-D

Ryan Pulock just saved the NYI’s season and guaranteed a Game 6 back in The Old Barn. Isles win 3-2 and head to Tampa all tied up 2-2.

I am in shock that MTL was able to pull off this run. They looked abysmal during the regular season. Tonight's game should be really good. I am hoping for another OT thriller with TB winning it in the 5th OT haha

Good thing I lost my sports soul a long time ago LOL.

Mtl is playing really well honestly. It took me a while to see it fully tbh. Price is obviously the reason they're here. He's phenomenal, but outside of that their defensive system as a whole is just rock solid right now. They don't give up any "grade A" chances to the other team. They're super hard to score on, and they counter attack exceptionally well so if a shot is blocked at the line one of the forwards has a partial breakaway at the other end. Their PK is awesome too, but I really think some of that is Vegas's fault. Their PP is terrible, worse than I thought. If they play TB or even NYI I expect a few more PP goals against.

Vegas lost the series at 2 critical points IMO. Fleury's error completely changed the series in terms of control (Mtl being up 2-1 instead of down can't be underestimated), and then Deboer putting Fleury back in for G5. Even if you say none of the goals were Fleury's fault I still don't think the decision made sense after Lehner basically stole G4. Coach took out the goalie that might've gotten in the Habs heads a game ago and put back in the one that made the crucial error. Never made one bit of sense to me.

I also think this is a cinderella run for MTL. Not unlike many other teams in years past. It's not likely to be an annual thing. They'll have a good team with Suzuki and Caufield leading the way, but they aren't perennial contenders yet IMO. And no one saw this coming anyway. They're lying if they say otherwise.

Don't ask me what happens tonight. I think TB will win if forced to choose, but it's a G7 so anything goes.

I’ve been wrong about everthing regarding Mtl this entire playoffs, but this would be the shocker of a lifetime if they actually beat TB.

That said I expect the series to go at least 6 games.

I've learned not to count out the Habs this playoffs, but that felt like a must win to me. TB hasn't lost back to back playoff games since they were swept by Columbus two years ago. The old saying goes "you're not in trouble until you lose at home," but hard to see TB losing both games in MTL. I expect MTL to get one (probably G3), but not the other.
