Thank you very much for the feedback.
I have these sets of strings at the moment. Which one do you think it will be better to use?
-tourna big hitter silver 1.25
-tourna silver 7 tour 1.25
-tecbifibre ice code 1.25
-luxilon 4g 1.30
-head lynx tour 1.25
-luxilon big banger original 1.30

I play OHBH and attacking baseliner

Haven't tried any of those to be honest, but intrigued to hear how they get on.

so i took out the 97 D. i was able to hit through the ball more and has more control oblivious. lacks spin the 95 has control but ball will tend to fly. the stick had cycolne in it. i like the 97 d but it just to heavy

My balls tend to fly - especially on serves with Volkl cyclone tour. That thing loses tension quickly. I probably will never use it again ahha

I love Ice code. However I wish it wasn’t stiff. It gave me some tennis elbow

VCT drops off generally but I tried the 1.35 based on feedback in 'Strings' and it seems an exception. It definitely loses tension, but stays playable for a very long time. I was cutting Strike out at 15-20 hours and have gone beyond the 30 hour mark with VCT 1.35 without issue. Think I could just play it til it breaks, honestly.

Btw haven't heard anything directly but just got refunded by Paypal for the Dro Pirect orders.

:(
I hope they ship mine but I don't have much hope after this

EDIT

order cancelled! worst e-shop ever! they confirmed my order and took the money. now they cancel without saying anything and the rackets are magically available again at a total different price. Ridiculous!

I am trying 1.25. It’s not bad. But I’m seeing my balls fly on some clean hits haha

Wilson did the same to me. Cancelled the order without informing me at all. I had to go to the "where is my order at" (or whatever it's called) section on the Wilson site to see that it said "Cancelled" with no reason. Then PayPal had it as "pending"... and I had to contact Wilson and then a couple of days later they informed me it was cancelled. Then they wanted to know how they did with a survey... S$#T!!! That's how.

Ridiculous is about right. They should have honoured their orders and worn their mistake... but hey, these days they think they can do anything and get away with it. Just don't shop there anymore. I haven't noticed them to have great pricing compared to other retailers... so just buy elsewhere, then maybe they'll get the message.

Back to the Vcore 95---- since some are discussing the new one, anyone have a particular guess or wish for it? One Yonex trend that is real but not sure if it will go forward is the Ezone 98 Tour has a similar flex in the throat as the Regna 98, will Yonex shower the rest of their rackets with this flex?

I just want them to add back some of the flex /comfort / control of the previous (2018) version. I felt the recent one (2021) too stiff. Ideally they would also make it 320g but they won't do that. Or just more swingweight like the old version had (326g vs 315 in new one).

Yes you're right, what is most ridiculous is that they actually sent me an email saying that the order was checked and approved and was being passed to the shipping department AND that they took my money on Paypal.
after this I purchased a set of poly tour rev on another site to test it with the vcore 95. now I have got nothing to do with it :(

I have dealt with a lot of retailers and this has been nothing short of a shambles. To have no communication from them for 4 days and still have not had a refund. I had purchased trainers that weren't even half price too? The racket was slightly less but they have offered yonex frames before on clearance at £59-69 also.
Its a classic big company with no accountable customer service who obviously operate on high volumes. Impersonal in that regard and no apology or help with the mix up. I will have to report it to PayPal now as I am not wasting my time dealing with such a poor company.

I know, I know, I am late to the party. But never late than never.
My friend @naturalexponent sent me his VC95 2021 and I am trying to make the switch to this gem. Put a FW leather grip on it and 2 grams on 3 and 6 each. Feels incredibly solid and natural to swing. I think this is it!
Tomorrow, I'll be playing a team league doubles match and am thinking of taking this one out to play. I am not at 100% so, I won't be playing singles, but looking forward to doubles.
Is there anyone who can recommend a crisp but fast string in this? How about Tour Sniper in this?
Thanks in advance!

I tend to use thinner gauge strings in this racquet. My last combo was Weiss Cannon Red Ghost in the Mains and a Syn Gut from Klip (1.20mm) in the crosses. Worked very well. I also played with the 1.15mm Hyper G, and that played well (the kick on the serve was great with this string from memory).

If you wanted to try a 1.25mm string... Solinco Revolution might be a good one to try. It has great spin potential, is stiffer when looking at the numbers, but plays very plush and with plenty of pocketing. Tour Sniper might be great, but the string is heavier (so just keep that in mind).

Background: I'm a medium level 4.0/great 3.5 with a one handed backhand. I've played with the Wilson Prostaff 100LS the past 6 years.

I hadn't played in four months but played last night for the first time with the Vcore 95. I don't know if it was just the break from tennis or the new racquet, but I may have never served better in my life. I don't know how to describe it but the serve seemed to have more dip on the ball and kept falling in. I've never had much luck trying racquets other than Wilsons. I've tried Babolat's a few times and the profile of the frame just threw me off and I was never able to serve well.

I hit with a flat forehand and it was even flatter last night. But I felt like I was able to swing harder and still get it to come down in play.

Was it just first time luck, or is the Vcore 95 a good frame for someone like myself?

I just find tour sniper so predictable. Lynx tour is thicker and heavier if you want to make things higher SW, it will give you a good +4 SW vs tour sniper I think. Lynx tour also slightly stiffer and higher launch angle than TS. They are both normal launch angle strings but LT is slightly higher. Both excellent polys.

Big fan here of Solinco revolution, for the characteristics you describe, although I’ve never tried it in the vc95.

Im playing with the VC95 2021 and Prince Twispower 100 Tour , I like both altought I consider totally different racquets. My issue is that the VC95 is causing some arm and shoulder pains . ID like to Know what I can do in terms of racquet customization to alleviate this issue. I play with Yonex poly tour spin @ 48 with the VC95 and with weiss cannon ultra @46 with the P.twispower tour . thank you for the help

I found the VC95 to be very arm friendly. That said, it is a relatively light racquet and therefore there isn't as much mass to absorb ball impact. Given the shoulder pain in the context of the relative low mass of the racquet, you should probably first look at technique and rehab/prehab exercises. In conjunction with that, you could try softer strings. I found the VC95 to play well and extremely comfortably with multi.

2023 update:
Having tried the 2023 version and coming back to this racquet (2021 version) for my 3rd time (and as my main and only stick) I have some conclusions:

I have to say how balanced this racquet is in every aspect of the game both in specs and playability. Don’t underestimate a racquet that does everything pretty well but doesn’t excel in any area (I’m referencing Karue here since he was spot on with that quote). This racquet doesn’t give you any handicaps but it also doesn’t compromise any shots.

I can safely say this racquet is “the best of both worlds” in every aspect:

- Not flexible but not stiff, Goldilocks.
- 16x20 pattern, Goldilocks.
- 310 grams, not too heavy not too light.
- Works great stock, works great as a platform racquet as well.
- Comfortable
- Head shape is in between a Yonex head shape and a more traditional head shape.

A traditional player who loves the old classic feel or a Babolat pure drive player could love this frame. It’s just an easy frame to hit and go. Already stocked up with 4 racquets and some more grommets.

Why wait for the next version or the next racquet when I already have the perfect racquet for my game. No wonder I couldn’t find a good racquet after a year and a half of trying and testing, vc95 2021 was setting the bar so high.

In the recent Tennis SPin video reviewing the 2023 VC95 they spend 30 seconds or so gushing about the 2018. I found the 2021 a slightly better, but not that different version of the 2018 with the power boost, small, but useful. It only piqued my interest that they loved the 2018 more than the 2021 and 2023 because the guy is running a tennis shop and that's a little counter-productive to selling sticks AND he usually is very positive about all new releases, generally.

Did you try the 2018, if not, no worries? I just don't think it was THAT different and the 2021 offered benefits while taking nothing away from what the 2018 could do. I can't put my finger on what they loved so much other than a very very very small feel difference? What do you think?

I definitely like the 2018 version more and my favourite racquet ever I think because of that awesome connected feel. The only thing better with the 2018 was the feel, everything the 2021 does just slightly better. More stable, more sweetspot and it’s available right now :)

Aha, well, guess it's just a tennis thing for me. I do know what "feel" is, as in I know a Vcore HD feels much different than a vc95, I just didn't think the 2018 felt that much different than the 2021. You getting some 2021 on sale or did I bet?

So whats the difference between the 21 and 23?
2023 is softer, a bit more stable but has a higher launch angle and pattern is now a bit more open (at least from the 95) so it´s closer to a 16x19 where I felt the 2021 more towards an 18x20.

I got a couple recently from a friend who switched to an ezone and I already had two. Might buy 2 more when the price drops

Anyone has moved on from this racquet? If yes, what are you using now? Been loving my tfight 315 ltd lately

potentially mid-switch right now from my modded ‘21s. CX 200 Tour and Speed Pro are top contenders.

Also have to try the new 95.

Moved on from the 2021 to TF40 315. I do miss the versatility of the VC95(still have the rackets) but overall feel, comfort and power is better with TF40.

Moved back to the VCORE 95 2018 version, from the 2021 version. Although I know the 2021 is better in basically everything except feel, I really miss that connected feel. Also, finally got my hands on 2 VC95´18 with grip 4. I just recently realized I have bigger hands than the average joe but was using grip 3 just cause. Playing drastically more consistant with grip 4.

Edit: I didnt just realize I have bigger hands, I realized grip 3 is for the majority of male players, but not for me.

My SV95s are in 4 1/2 while my '21 95s are 4 3/8. I switched to the smaller grip hoping to get a little more spin/wrist action but what I found instead is that the smaller grip only made them more "fluttery" when going up against big hitters. The SV95s feel much more solid, too.

Yeah I preferred the Vc18 as well. It was not a dramatic difference, just felt better and looked better. I still have one laying around somewhere. I used Lynx Tour and element crosses in it, nice little combo there.

This, you described it better. Fluttery. I have to grip a little tighter and therefore my wrist is tighter to avoid that fluttery feel. A tight wrist in a tense match is not ideal.

Do you typically add lead to yours? With the SVs I have 4g at 10/2 while with the VCs I have 4g at 3/9. Personally, I would never play with the frame otherwise.

I can’t play them stock as well. With the 2018 version it’s 4 g 3/9 and 2 grams @12. It’s a completely different racquet after lead.

Moved back to my pure strike gen 3.
I miss the feel of the vc95 (the pure strike feels like a plastic toy on impact). But the vc95 is undeniably a difficult racket to play with in comparison.
