Damn with Coria gone, and also Gaudio.. the FO is a gift now.. all he has to do is make it past Nadal..

There's no choking in a clay court match versus Nadal, Safin, or Ferrer. I'm actually surprised Ferrer had to come back to win the match versus Gaudio. Ferrer's clearly the superior clay courter now. All three of those guys can take out Fed if the cards fall right.

NADAL PLAYED SIMPLY AWESOME IN THE RESUMPTION AGAINST GROSJEAN. Hitting half volley winners and using anticipation and reaction skills when grounded at the net. He also hit some great passing shots past Grosjean at the net. Nadal is playing sick tennis right now.

The biggest gift to Federer is Nalbandian losing to Hanescu. Now Federer doesn't have to meet his arch nemesis Nalbaldian in the quarters, who is probably the only player on tour that still has a winning record against Federer.

Ferrer is playing great tennis, remember Nadal almost lost to him in Rome! If he ends Rafael's winning streak, he could give Fed a scare at a possible semis match providing Roger downs Hanescu which is logically what should happen tomorrow unless the romanian dictates the opposite. I would like to see a Ferrer - Fed semis; on the other side of the draw I would like either Robredo or Cañas to reach the finals.

I wouldn't mind Ferrer winning the FO. He's worked hard all year and has had great results. He's young and belongs in the top10.

Fed has already beat Gonzales, a tough 3rd round opponent, and if he beats Nadal, his title willl be well earned. He certainly has had to face as many tough opponents as atleast half of the champions the last 8 years. At the FO the draw always opens up, there are too many high ranked players vurnerable on clay.

I simply CANNOT believe how wide open that bottom 1/2 is now that everyone is out. Federer/Nadal looks to be the final if Nadal can hold his end of the bargain. I don't know how one can say Federer has had this slam given to him, I suppose TwistServe is just trying to save face and act like Federer didn't earn it if he does win it. Nadal is hardly a pushover though, I'm sure Federer looks at Nadal with some weariness. Can Nadal keep up his fearless play?

He knows what a tough opponent Nadal is. Remember, Nadal beat Federer last year at the Nasdaq and nearly beat him this year...Federer knows this is Nadal's surface. It won't be a routine win for Federer.
