A racket with the Blade's stability but more maneuverable?

I've been demoing the Blade CV 16x19 lately and really like the rackets stability and plowthrough. However, I've never played with a racket with this high of a swingweight (326) and find myself coming to some shots late.

Is there a comparable racket to the blade but that I might find easier to swing?

You can try tail weighting the stick. That will make the racquet feel whippier and easier to get around (more maneuverable). I don't think it will reduce the swing weight but definitely make it more maneuverable, in my experience. Blade is more even-balanced anyway.

There is a Blade 98L that's basically a lighter 16x19. Try that out.

Don't try the SW model then lol. That SW is around 340 and you definitely have to prep early or shorten your stroke.

+1 the reason I went from Blade 2015 18x20 to Angell Tc97 18x20. With Wilson's sh*t QC it made it even more sluggish, my tc97 is so stable and easy to play with singles or doubles... quality frames for sure

326 is a swingweight anyone with moderate skills should be able to handle, work on your skizzles

TC97 63RA has minimum swing weight of 325-330 due to construction.
70RA can have lower swing weight.

As far as I know, the TC97 does not come in 63 or 70 RA. It only comes in 66 RA. The TC95 and TC100 come in both these RA. I do agree that higher RA can have lower swing weight.

Agree with post #2 by our pal haqqani1777. I tried the Blade that preceded the CV generation and had a lot of fun with it, but if I ever grab one for myself, I'll definitely add some weight to the handle. The racquet wasn't especially heavy, but its balance made it feel a bit sluggish.

My regular players (two different models) are either 12.6 or 12.8 oz. and have leaded handles to give them more HL balance. This definitely improves the maneuverability for me.

do you know what strung spec works for you? then you can work backwards to find the right racquet for you... imo

The problem with tail-weighting is that it increases weight. And with the Blades, you have to add quite a bit to get it to 5-6 pts HL (depending on QC).

They're great feeling frames but the Head Touch or 360 Radical MP are an ideal weight (10.6oz unstrung) for adding weight or using it as is (since graphene racquets are finicky to added weight). Another candidate is the Tecnifibre XTC T-Fight 300 - 98" and better made than the Blade.

So many choices. I’ll add another - the Angell K7 Red. It is stable, light, powerful and is a spin monster. The soft feel reminds me of the classic frames from the 80’s, or the Pro Stock frames. It really is a nice stick and is way easier to whip around than a HH balanced Blade 16x19.

i would agree that tc97 would work. depends on specs of course but it is possible to design what you are looking for. i use blade and tc 97 interchangeably and always think that they play similarly except tc97 a bit quicker through the air and more spinny (both 16*19) while both are equally stable. k7 red not so stable unless add weight

Yes, it prob depends on the specs of the actual rackets.
My G Pro is more maneuverable than the TF40 and Blade V7 98 I used to own, even if I didn’t get a chance to play them s/s. But they were in the same ballpaek, though. The G Tour and the 98S otoh, are very easy to swing. The 98S lacks a bit of punch/plow, though.

Compared wtih others, the launch angle is high on 98S, which makes a big difference as well
