-its been a hot minute since ive hit with this one
-i could not make it work for me
-looked interesting though
I almost bought one.

I actually LOVED it. Topspin was easy as pie, my balls were dropping in and exploding off the court. Slice backhands were solid, and it was amazing to volley with. Slice and kick serves were big too, though I never could get the flat one working right - just felt like it wasn't coming off the racquet with any power when I hit a flat serve. It felt WAAAAY flexier than its RA would suggest, which I liked - I tend to like frames with flexy throats and stiff hoops.

Anyway, yeah, underrated stick

I tried a demo of one of those racquets with the fan shaped string bed once (I think is was a Head racquet). It was light as a feather and the ball exploded off the strings. It's probably the only racquet I've ever hit with that I couldn't control the power or direction of my shots.

This is my new pick for worst racket ever. Wilson Nano Elite, circa 2005 give or take a few. Super hollow and harsh feeling. garbage on anything even slightly off-center. makes awful pinging sound even with a dampener.

And here's how you really know its a loser. This racket was purchased for my mother to get her back into tennis after being away for 20 years. She hit with it 2 times, then went back to her Prince Classic from 1980...

Wilson ProStaff 7.1. I’m not sure if it was a Hyper ProStaff or some other line but it was yellow and gray. Way too light for its RA and balance to have any plow. You can swing out as hard as you can but you can’t get any depth or speed. It was a demo from the racquet club shop so I don’t know what it was strung with.

Prince Vortex from the 1980s-90s, came with it's own VHS tape claiming to be made of a material that changed flexibility depending on how hard or soft it was hit.

And now we have monstrosities like the new Prince Vortex, which uses "a graphite-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic viscoelastic polymer" to create variable flexibility.

The real problem with the original Prince Vortex was that it used a staggered string pattern (like wood racquets did) because the frames cracked when straight line grommet holes were drilled. Prince practically innovated itself out of existence. Don't get me started on the Mono racquet marketing and design fiasco.

Owned both. Dunlop MAX200G was the 1st racquet that supposedly had dynamic stiffness that I recall.

Reading the title, I was sure some folks would rage against the PD and Babolat. It doesn’t make sense, sorry. The PD may well be the racquet you dislike the most, but saying it is the worst racquet ever performance wise is at best lack of judgement or trolling.
In the past 20 years, no racquet had such an impact on racquet design and maybe the game in general. Many players are fond of the PD (and its ersatz) and do not complain about arm pain. It may not be for all and I’m not defending Babolat at all cost (no longer using a Babolat myself), but please be serious.

Head Arthur Ashe Competion series. Mercifully mine shattered into a wad of string and frame fragments after a mishit serve, and opened the door for buying a decent racquet.

What is the worst racquet ever performance wise? It’s gotta have an erratic stringbed, stiff as all get out, and just play horribly. Any contenders?
Would say the Wilson Ultra 100UL. It feels decent for a couple of seconds. Then the first hit will make you regret having wrists. That thing is like hitting with a metal rod. No flex or comfort. Just pure feel. I felt it only in my wrist.

Yeah it hasn't a double handle, neither it's made from thin metal, but considering some of the high praise it has received, IMO RS305 is one of the worst performing modern sticks. Also the turdiness of QC belongs in its own league.

TF have really bad spec tolerance..one of the worse I have ever experienced..
Now that they have world #1 on both tours and should be seeing increase sales.. perhaps they should consider investing in improved manufacturing processes/materials with their supplier.

I demoed it and hated the feel. Felt... metallic? Like aluminum?

Has to be the ones they gave to all the kids in high school gym class. Worn out grips and rackets felt like they were from the 90s or something sooner. Only reason the gym teacher beat me, and why I will never go to the high school reunion. Also, the fact I turned out to be a loser working for and living with his parents.... there's another reason I will skip all reunions.

For me the 305RS is an exceptionally good stick
Plays extremely solid, firm but not harsh, great blend of power and control

Son cut his finger and the plastic surgeon turned out to be a classmate. Never attended a re-union, lost contact with most.

Each to there own, This racket as far as I am concerned belongs in the rubbish bin

Oh Snap..I loved the Kobra Tour... Unique ugly paint that made it beautiful.. aero throat, flexible, and stock leather grip..
A pure aero with Wilson feel... almost bliss..
