Adidas apparel--sizing compared to Nike?

I really can't stand Adidas, but the value compared to Nike is hard to ignore.

Does anyone wear their stuff enough to comment on how the sizing runs between the two brands?

I'm not a big guy at 5'6" and 135lb, but the Nike slim-fit stuff (Fed, Rafa, Nike Court slim cut) is too tight in the chest in M, so I need a L.

Would Adidas be the same story? I don't own any of their gear at all. Thanks for any guidance y'all can give.

I think is similar now. I buy M in Aeroreact and flex shorts and just buy the Adidas purple spring henley in the same size. Both are slim fit

In the sizing chart L is given for a chest between 104-108 centimetres (41"-43.2"). I am over that and find their crews to fit a bit loose (not 90ies loose), so you better take your measurements and decide based on what is on their sizing charts. I doubt that you need an L. More like M, if not S.

M, probably. I can't do S on-court. Thanks very much for the help.

This makes sense too. My issue is that I can't buy the same size for tops and bottoms. Buying shorts and pants in S works great, but tops in the same size are way too tight.

So for most of my Nike stuff I wear S shorts and L tops. Most likely I'm in the same middle ground between M and L for Adidas too.

I wear size S in top and bottom for both brands. Both will change the fit and cuts depending on the styles, but I roll with it either way and it looks good. Sometimes more fitted, sometimes more loose- depends on the collection.

The shirt I want is described as slim fit so I think I will go with an L. Thanks everyone for the help.

I wore a Nike L today on court and it fit absolutely perfectly aside from being a bit long. Story of my life.

I used to buy S in the 2010 to 2012 items since they were regular and usually like the slim fit stuff since I sweat a lot and big shirts start twisting around my torso and get heavy with sweat. But most recently I find the M more slim in the quads than the 2017 shorts (Wimbledon Nadal Flex compared to the 2018 USO shorts and last year RG) and the shirts are shorter since last year so maybe you can check measures and ask in CS for the item you want. TW do that with the AR shirts and worked fine
