Adidas Ubersonic

The best shoe I have ever played in is the Adidas Ubersonic 2. I still have 8 pairs left that I can rotate thru and will probably last me thru 2019, but still looking to stockpile my inventory.

Anyone who also likes the Ubersonic 2’s as much as I do find another pair they’d recommend?

Or anyone know where I can still find the 2’s. Seems like they are harder to find these days and most retailers are running out.

I had a pair of Ubersonic 2 and loved them, very low to the ground, fast feeling shoes. Confort was not perfect but ok. Unfortunately in 3 or 4 months the outsole was dead (lot of tournament matches). If I could I would buy a new pair but it's not produced anymore. I'd love Adidas produce them again.
I tried lot of shoes since and I'd recommend you to try the new Fresh Foam Lav New Balance shoe. I find the 2 shoes quite similar in some points except the New Balance Lav is a bit more heavy but more plushy and cushioned. Anyway the design and the feel is quite similar : booty construction, flat outsole, low to the ground.
The only difference is the heel to toe drop. In Adidas shoe it's quite inexistent whereas in the NB shoes it's almost 1 centimeter. I don't know if it's important for you but it contributes to a better dynamism of the shoe as you're more in your toe and reduce the tension/pression on Achilles tendon which is a good thing.

I'm a long time uber2 user. Glad to hear that they are coming back! I'm also interested if the NB Lav. Are they sized the same as the uber2?

Yes approximately same size. Generally I'm between two sizes with shoes: 10.5 and 11. For my Ubersonic 2 I went 10.5 but it was a bit short. If they produce it once again I would go for a 11. For NB shoes I went 10.5 first but it was too short. I changed for a 11.

Regarding to the design of the shoe I first thought that New Balance had copied Adidas as it's approximately the same style/shape.

Edit: after the first training sessions and matches I would say that the shoe is a tad shorter than Adidas: I chose size 11 for the New Balance Fresh foam Lav and in Adidas shoes in size 11 I feel more roomy. It's more snug I would say in NB shoes.

I have a question for former users of Adidas Ubersonic 2's. Did you try the new SoleCourt Boost? How is it compared to the Ubersonic 2?

And for those who tried both Ubersonic 3's and SoleCourt Boost is it a similar fit?

I loved my past Ubersonic 2's but didn't like the 3's. I didn't have the occasion to try the SoleCourt Boost so I'm just a bit curious.

I ended up reselling my ubersonic 3's because the fit was so different. The SoleCourt Boosts have a much flatter foot, better for a wide toe box. If you like a snug feel and more mobility/nimble-ness then I would steer away.

Forget the 2, the original is where it’s at. I’m knocking around mine in jeans since the outsole is grinded down. They are so cozy and don’t have that annoying bootie sock.

I liked them better without the bootie but my feet slid around in them too much.

So has anyone had the original (1) and the 3? Are they the same in terms of width and fit? Sounds like the 2 is narrower than the 3....so maybe (1) is same as 3? 2016 and 2019
