Son ,no need to jinx. This is is a master1000 not Slam . Alcaraz will be exposed big time and hype will die for good.

This is not some jinx thread against alcaraz.

Ive been saying since acapulco nadal has flattered to deceive and later i think alcaraz will tear him apart.

Alcaraz does everything bigger here now in 2022 and with nadals cumbersome movement i can see him getting creamed in straight sets.
ALCARAZ IS A FUTURE GRAND SLAM CHAMPION AND A GREAT TENNIS PLAYER. that said, 6-4, 6-4 Nadal.

I would love to see that. I want to see an old Nadal get blown off the court ala Indian Wells 2017 and Aussie 2008. We need a new young all time great to take him to the wood shed and retire him.

Nadal will struggle for sure I wouldn’t be surprised with an upset Alcaraz is the real deal!

This is surely going to be tough for Nadal. But having said that, I have watched all four Nadal matches at IW, and they were all difficult ones for him in different ways...it's been an exhibition on how to win matches when you are nowhere near your prime...Nadal would eventually manufacturer a way to beat Alcaraz somehow is what I am hoping for...

Nadal 6-1. 6-0. The second Alcaraz loses to Nadal, he will be back to mug status according to Novak fans. Don't let them fool you.

Sure, Nadal played "very well" on those occasions.
I think when Nadal wins his 22nd Major title (probably in a few months) you will feel very sad.

Nadal's too good of a problem solver to get "creamed" by Alcatraz. Alc has been putting on a clinic of using his speed and power off both wings to dictate play from the baseline. And he hasn't had to depend on low probability winners as his drop shot has been working to perfection. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rafa lure Alcaraz to the net frequently. Do anything to avoid baseline slugging with the young Spaniard.

Surely you meant the other way around - Nadal to expose Alcaraz false dawn? It must have been a typo.

Yes. Someone needs to expose Rafa Nadal and his lack of accomplishments overall and especially this season. Even this season all he won were a couple tournaments including a slam. Clearly needs to be called out.

I think Nadal will treat this like a grand slam final, because nothing is worse than losing to the new kid on your block.

Capy bara faces first decent ballstriker this year, let's see whether the teenager has guts to hold himself

In that Norrie QF, it looked like Alcaraz and Norrie were very closely matched physically, but Alcaraz had more composure on break points.
Whereas vs. Nadal, I think its safe to say Alcaraz won't have as much composure as Nadal.
So the only way Alcaraz wins is if Nadal is physically struggling enough to give Alcaraz easy holds..... and I don't see any sign of Nadal physically struggling.
If the games are at all close, then Nadal definitely wins and probably in straight sets, and that's why he's the huge favorite.
