Andy Murray vs Novak Djokovic

It's amazing how similar these 2 players are. They are the only teens in the top 50 and before they were the only teens in the top 100. Novak is a 1 week younger and they both won 53 matches so far. Andy has had bigger peaks beating bigger players while Novak has won more titles and been steadier in slams or shown more versatility on all surfaces. Both have shown signinficant problems with stamina.

Yet their game couldn't be more different. Andy runs down everything and generally frustrates his opponents while Novak plays more aggressive and forces action particularly with his forehand. There is no doubt they will be elite rivals in the future so who will be better ?

I don't like Murray at all. I love the Serb's power. I thought he might do some damage in the French but he was just taken out to the wood shed ultimately. I would think with his power, if he can stay healthy, he would be a lock to make five to ten million and have a good career.

Murray is a funny player. Bit of a throw back. Obviously got some talent if he can play at running game when he is built like a walking stick. I would like to see them both live before making more of a comment.

I think Murray is a good player but I don't have much to say about him right now.

Joke-ovic on the other hand, I sincerely think is headed to the top, IF...
- He gets those little injury breaks straightened out. He's a faker.
- He learns to understand what he did well and in what ways he was outplayed. He always thinks he 'won' even when he loses.

Wow, he was known as a faker since his early days. Rich from his fans to accuse other players of faking injuries.

Both incredible players. Agree with the forehand comment. Andy should have taken note of Novaks development of that shot and done the same. Novak has the extra ability to win in the toughest situations against the big3 more often than not that Andy doesn’t. His record in slam finals off the grass for example. In terms of raw ability not much in it.

Murray is a fourth tier great, not a top tier one. Enough of the overrating thank you.

Peak Murray has beaten all the Big Three and Djoke and Fed back to back. He's bageled Nadal and beaten him in his own back yard.
He was the 4th Member of the Big four. Murray has won 46 ATP singles titles, including 14 Masters 1000 events.

You Talk Utter Crap.

Well where do you rate Murray? He's definitely not in the top tier! It was unfortunate for him to be born within a week of Novak who's owned him; esp. "down under!" He had early succes with Federer and none with Nadal so IDK how he can be even thoight of or monikered as being part of a "Big 4?" :sneaky: :cautious::unsure:;):-D

Djoke is a disgrace to game- Murray is a true hero, admired by millions. Unlike NooVaxx
who is universally disliked, apart from a few deplorables. The there is no argument that Djokovic is a
"great" for anything related to tennis. When Djoke retires he will be remembered for his deliberate cheating and threatening antics, not celebrated by anyone, unlike Federer Nadal and Murray who will continue to be loved and heaped with genuine praise for their achievements by the true tennis fans for all the years to come.

Murray is true great in every sense of the word - Noovaxx; his odious on court and off behaviour excluding from any real status what so ever.

If you can't see that you need to do some reading on what constitutes greatness. Nadal Federer and Murray are "The Greats" along with many other 'Great' ambassadors for the game. If you think Djokes 'a great', no one cares, but you should, as you are deluding yourself.

......and? True enough, but nothing noteworthy in the overall grand scheme of things! They were so infrequent victories! Did better than Roger in clay at least! ;) :sneaky::laughing::-D

Maybe but they're not nothing. Three of those wins came in title matches including one on clay in Nadal's biggest home tournament.

The big irony is that although both Roger and Novak are far better claycourters than Murray he have most wins in Madrid clay vs Nadal than either of them :D

IF you really think Murray is a better tennis player than Djokovic, then YOU are the Delusional One! Also, Murray's on court behavior is not exactly, ideal.

Since people seem to be taking this as an attack against Murray, I'll make this an attack against Federer too

Murray still has credentials on clay albeit it came very late in his career. In addition to beating Nadal in Madrid (twice) he also beat Djokovic in the final of Rome and then beat the defending champion (Wawrinka) to make the final of RG where Djokovic got his revenge (if only he could have won that one too).

They have always been extremely effective players, each on his own way.
In making me sleep, especially when they played one another.
