Another Overgrip thread

Hi, I am currently using Yonex Supergrap and like it for my own use. However, my son has used it and wears it out quickly, so I'm running through these grips fast. Is there a grip similar in feel (semi tacky), that lasts longer? Suggestions?

Thanks.

side note, maybe because he's just playing alot better, it puts wear and tear on the grip?
i try to change my overgrip every time i hit,... but definitely before playing any sets.

Wow, that must get expensive. I usually change grips every few months. Part of it is that he hits more often than me (multiple times/wk), especially in the summer.

I like yonex but it does go very fast. For that reason i use Wilson Pro overgrip instead.
I think I might order the Wilson Pro overgrip. Reviews are good and it lasts longer. Looks to be similar in tackiness to supergrap.

Wilson Pro overgrip is my go-to tacky overgrip. Buy the 30-pack and they're just over $1 a piece. There's also a 50-pack or a 60-pack bucket. Any one of those will get you just over $1 per grip. For me it's easily worth putting fresh grips on whenever needed. The more serious I got, the more often I started changing overgrips. Fresh one each week plus a new one before every tournament isn't unreasonable at all to me, especially during the summer.

Before I switched to Tourna Grip, I was using the Wilson over grips as well. For tackiness, I recommend them as well, yeah buy them in bulk and you'll save more. I change my grip just about after every match now depending on how long the match was. He's definitely going through the grips because of his frequency of play.

My Yonex seems to last me over a week. Tourna would be done within 2 days.

Wilson pro grip is very sticky compared to the Yonex.

I’ve used supergrap for years and the last 30 pack I bought I felt the quality was subpar to any previous purchase. I’ll go through a grip in a two hour session and it needs changed. Normally I could go for a few hours, but not lately.

Give Tourna Mega Tac a go. It lasts so much longer than Wilson Pro or Yonex Supergrap.

It is much tacier initially as well. Some like that, some don't... but after a little bit of play they tone down to Wilson Pro/ Supergrap levels of tac. The best part about the Tourna is that when you stretch it, it doesn't crease up like the Wilson or Yonex offerings. It's a more study material. Also, as it gets dirtier it becomes more of a soft rubbery feel, rather than a course feel as the Wilson and Yonex do.

Just my 2c but it's worth a try!
