Any pros with Diadem?

Any pros use Diadem racquets? I’ve started to notice them more, seen a few people in my area use them and they love it. Out of curiousity, any pros using it? Hard to imagine they’ll have any success without some endorsements, probably end up like the Donnay revival.

Kind of odd as is that TW carries the strings and not the racquets.

Just watched her at the US Open and her team is all Diadem. Looks like it is the Nova

There’s an ATP guy who made the main draw in Auckland this year. Forgot his name tho

Novas are just worse ezone 100's and elevates are much worse pure strikes.

I have played extensively with all diadem racquets

I guess to each their own. I love my Elevates Tour V2s :X3:. I am switched from a Pure Storm Team 2004 98 16x20. The Pure Strikes do not feel anything like it while the Elevate feel like a crispy version of the pure storm team.

The Novas to me feel like a muted Pure Drive?

Hard disagree here. Pure Strikes are muted garbage (they play fine but lack all feeling). The Elevate FS98 was muted but much better feeling than the Pure Strike. Diadem V3 is a very crisp frame, probably closer to older generation radicals than anything else.

Novas reminded me of a Pure Drive clone. Nothing special, same thing that almost every other company has a version of.

I think the Diadem v3 elevate doesn't get enough love overall IMO

Think you just described most of the recent frames from Yonex.

The Nova is a poor attempt to copy the Pure Drive. Does everything the Pure Drive does only not nearly as good. After my experience with the Nova, I had no desire to try anything else from Diadem. My experience with Diadem's Solstice Pro string and their premium balls didn't help matters either.

So the Diadem Elevate v3s would be similar to the current Yonex Ezone 98 or the Percept 97?

I excitedly bought the diadem balls with the tennis troll discount a couple of year ago. Before I got through the case, I ended up donating them to others just to get rid of them.

I bought the solstice Black strings on their Labor Day Bogo sale. The above poor endorsements are t making me feel great about it, just brought my racquet to the stronger. Hopefully the strings are good

Solstice pro notches very easily so the result is lots of tension loss. Strung in the Pure Aero 2019, it broke in under 2 hours. Strung in the Tfight RS 295, it broke on under 3 hours.

Strung my PD swirly with the Solstice Black 17 at 50. Hopefully it lasts more than 3 hrs

While I haven’t played with the V2 and V3 of Diadem ( they are not selling here anymore and US suppliers did not order G5 ‘s) I have used all of the original V1 frames and I think they are good racquets. I was mainly using the Elevate MP customised and it was a comfortable frame. I hope they keep going and people give them a go;

They play like a radical MP with a smaller sweet spot and less stability. Power is in line or maybe a lil more than a radical MP. They feel very plush but still connected (unlike the radical)

If you like the feel and can cope with the downsides it's okay.

I use Solstice Black 18g frequently. I restring fairly regularly and only broke it once. I personally think Solstice Black is a decent string.

I don't know why so many people are crapping on Diadem in this thread. Their V3 rackets are much better than their V1 and FS (V2) models. Those frames were too muted IMO

I also don't know if their balls have changed manufacturing from when others tried them, but my group of 4.5/5.0 players felt they were very similar to Wilson US Open but with slightly better felt durability.

Solstice black 18 one of the best polys on the market imo

Yep, they only have slightly more felt on them than racquetballs.
It would be hard to convince me that my year-long wrist issues didn’t start with these balls. After years of playing it was the only variable before the swelling and pain started. Healed over an amount of time after trashing them.

Lack of felt was almost comical though

Interesting because I also developed wrist issues after increasing my tennis per week and I mainly used Diadem balls

Just making some deductions here based on pro comments and our comments. If Wilson US open Balls and Diadem balls are considered to be similar, then they are both considered pretty heavy balls no?

I forget which Pro player said it about the Dunlop balls, but they increased the weight on these balls as well which had some Pros complaining that we are seeing more and more injuries in the upper body.

Could we say that Diadem is following the trend of heavier balls ?

Increasing volume with use of a heavier ball, sounds like a proper way to mess up arms. I myself also try to stay away from heavier balls outside of a tournament/league play...we aint getting any younger :X3:

I would never say the US Open and Diadem are similar at all. US Open are much softer, diadem balls are hard and I was using their highest price point “premium” ball.

I personally havent used the Diadem balls, just their sticks. I believe someone above mentioned they felt like US Opens or at least the weight.
I've used their balls a lot in 2019-21 and became a ball snob with them. Didnt like to use other balls when training or competing. Liked us opens but they didn't last quite as long as the Diadem premiere ones. Also maintained felt better too.

Don’t let these comment affect your judgement. Just string them up and play with them for a bit to form your own opinion.

From my own experience, a teammate gave a set of the Diadem team strings. I loved them so much that I bought a few reels. If my other teammates need a restring and don’t have their own sets of string, I use my stash of Diadem strings. They’ve all liked the strings and I’ve had no negative feedback.

I’ve also demo’ed the Nova and Elevate v3 (regular and Tour). Loved the regular Elavate so much, I ditched my Radicals (and I’ve played every Radical from Ti/i up to Graphene Touch). The Nova played like my old 2003 Pure Drive Team.

Funny enough I strung my PD Swirly and 03 Team with Solstice black 17, only hit once so far, but it was nice
