Any shaped soft poly mains / tiny round ploy crosses benefits?

Guys, the WC Mosquito Bite 18g is my choice of crosses in my gut hybrid. I play with Prestige mids or MP in 18x20 tension *** 55/53 ~ 53/51 most of the time.

Since I'm not playing as much these days and it's really a waste to have guts strung and left to snap in the bag, I wonder if there is any benefit to have another poly strung in the mains and keep my fave poly cross MB as it is.

Polys which I have interest to try would be
1) dunlop black widow 18g
2) BHB7 17g
3) Cyclone 18g
4) Tour Bite 18g
5) Barb Wire 18g
As you can see these are relatively soft shaped polys (except for the 2 solinco strings which are said to be stiffer) and for what I gathered all play well their own.

So questions:
with a tiny round poly in the crosses will I be able to further increase spin potential in the hybrid?
Or since these are shaped polys I should look for a round main polys for better snap back for higher spin potential?
Will I experience a softer stringbed then having individual full beds? (No available WC MB stiffness data but personally I feel it's soft)
Or just play those short listed polys in a full bed for best experience?

Alternatively I can also have multis in the mains... No doubt introducing multi mains I should feel overall softer string bed, improved feel and liveliness.
But most multis on TWU string finder page has really bad string-to-string co-efficient of friction, except Prince Premier Control 17g and Premier Power 18g. So does that mean those 2 are THE multi crosses to get?

Pls share your experiences, advices and thoughts

I think most common setup is rough poly mains with smooth poly cross. Logic is smooth cross allows mains to move and snap back to position. Maybe drop cross tension -2 lbs below mains too.

But, Federer uses gut mains with lux rough crosses - smooth mains with rough cross.

Personally, I am a fan of Tecnifibre polys or Signum Pro polys.

Try TF Blackcode and Red code for a texture/smooth combo. Or Ruffcode, and red code.

SigPro Tornado and SigPro Hyperion would be good too.

Cyclone gets some love at TT but I thought it was below average.
