Anyone know about Bruno Kuzuhara

I was just wondering the same thing.

Kuzuhara is into the finals of both boys singles and doubles at the Australian Open.

Is he another Noah Rubin (former Wimbledon boy's champ with a career high ranking of #125 in the pros) or does the kid have top 50 pro potential?

I also saw that Kuzuhara is coached by Brian Baker, which is a name from the past. Baker won the Orange Bowl and was a French Open finalist in boy's singles, beating Baghdatis and Tsonga along the way, and losing the championship to Wawrinka. However, he was plagued with injuries as a pro. Still, he bagged over $1 million in prize money, which isn't bad for a guy that most people don't know about.

He's now playing AO Boys Final against number 4 seed Mensik from Czech . Kuzuhara seeded number 1.

Mensik got early break in the first set. Big serve.

Kuzuhara looks like a typical baseline topspin player.

Thanks to ESPN+ I got to watch a bit of the boys' matches.

Watching the handshake at the doubles match, Kuzuhara is average compared to the trend of tall players in tennis these days, but I think he has a good future.

It's like watching Djokovic vs an erratic baseline basher with a big serve. Bruno got the first set in a one sided tiebreak.

Lol, interesting that they play let when serving. Jakub Mensik ran forward to hit the return and then smashed the floating ball away

He doesn't look anything special to me. But then again, nor did Tsitsipas when he played FAA in the jrs so I'm probably full of cr*p.

Wow, awesome fight back from Mensik, taking the second set in yet another tiebreak. Mensik was doing the Lucas Pouille's tongue celebration.

OMG, Mensik had severe cramp all over his body and ended the match looking dead slumping lying flat on the floor .... could hardly stand up, could hardly serve.... ended with double fault........

Bruno won the singles and doubles titles. As others were alluding to, the singles final was brutal. It went 4 hours and 43 minutes, ending with Bruno's opponent collapsing with cramps.

That was more entertaining than the Womens’ Final. And lmao at Kuzuhara whining to the ump at the end of the match about a point penalty. Bruh your opponent can barely walk, just hit a drop shot and the point is over.

Yeah tough to be under 6 foot these days and be a great player, guys like Svajda and Rubin can attest, there aren't many Diego's out there.
