I've got stuff to do so I'll just check the scores now and then.

I should thank Ferrer really, now I'll be able to resist wasting time on sunday!

+1. I'll DVR it then check the score when I'm done; if it looks like there was any competition I'll watch; otherwise just hit the delete button and enjoy the rest of the day.

Yeah I'll record it too. It happens in the middle of the night for me anyway. In the morning I will start go watch it until Ferrer falls behind then I will fast forward big chunks of it unless Ferrer is winning.

I won't be getting up at 7 AM to watch boring tennis. If I happen to be up, I will see the score and would watch if it's close. It has to do more with the style of tennis these 2 are playing than with the result.

This thread is like Fed fans who put people on their ignore lists because they don't want to deal with reality .

Amazing .

Not at all. The semifinal was amazing. A great match that will be talked about. But if the final is a predictable 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 (or similar) then it's hardly going to be gripping is t?

I wont watch. Cause i will just feel bad for Ferrer. Silly Final. David could take one set, but the rest wont be close.

I'm bored just thinking about this match. Zero excitement. Zero anticipation. Two bland players grinding it out for three hours. *Yawn* I will not be watching.

It's not even gonna last 5 hrs.

The first two sets will probably be competitive, but if Rafa wins them both (most likely), Ferrer will bend over the next set.

the score will be 6-1 6-3 6-2 but it will take 5 hours because every point will be an 80 ball rally

big tip.................people dont play tennis or golf or ride jetski when they have a bad knee

1. He did get an operation.
2. What he did was allowed by his doctors, and they do play tennis when it is their job.
3. He is obviously more of a warrior than you

5 hours because Rafa taking 45 seconds between points even though he's up 5-0 40-0 in the first set?

Yea hes a warrior who for some reason needed 7 months off then came back and went to 9 straight finals. Yea his knees must be a mess. God you guys will swallow anything. HE DOES NOT HAVE BAD KNEEEEEES. He has pain so bad that he needs to take 7 months off then plays 9 tournaments in 4 months and gets to the final in all of them. This is ridiculous.

I will definitely watch the final. To not watch because your favourite player isn't playing is silly.

My favorite player hasn't been in a slam final in 8 years. I won't watch because if I wanted to watch baseline rallies with a predictable outcome I'd watch Serena vs. Sharapova. Oh wait, I didn't

Please. 90% of you will watch it beginning to end, or beginning until Nadal's victory is irrevocable.

And of course, 95% of you watched every single one of the Federer/Roddick finals without the slighest complaint, despite the inevitability of the result and an even more lopsided head to head.

What's the point watching Nadal grind his way to an eighth French Open singles title against David Ferrer? It is not like Ferrer actually has a chance to beat Nadal he's proven he's a solid player but he is not mentally tough.

Ferrer has choked a couple of matches this year he choked against Andy Murray in Miami despite having a match point. Ferrer choked against Nadal in Madrid leading a set and 4-2 in the second couldn't close it out. Ferrer lost the final set 6-0.

I am happy Ferrer reached his first grand slam final but he's going down easy to Nadal on Sunday as usual.

Nadal just makes the French Open really boring to watch. The only hope now, is that age starts to catch up to Nadal. I was really hoping somebody could have knocked him off but the ATP Tour is full of mental midgets. A few guys Daniel Brands and Novak Djokovic had their chances to beat Nadal but both men choked when it mattered most.

Have absolutely no interest in it whatsoever, the only worse final, marginally, would've been BP vs Bird Bytche, even MORE of a foregone conclusion.

At least both players attacked, this final will be 98% behind the baseline. The other 2% is when they are doing the coin toss and shaking hands

I am a Nadal fan.

If Ferrerr wins I will actually be really happy, I don't see anyone that wouldn't be.

I still think Nadal deserves the win, and should win. He is the best player at this point , and is yet again is in the final no matter what his rank is....but same goes for Ferrer.

Did you also stop watching Federer when he was blowing someone off the court ?
I
I did, Sampras and Agassi too... Its bad enough being in the states that they throw every American star rerun on for rain, or cover them through the entire tourney. Real fans want to see what is lacking in tennis namely variety and style. I always enjoy having a few favorites do well, but it would be a travesty if thats all you are ever fed. To never see Andre Pavel, Andrew Illy, Gustafson, Larson, Clavet, Portas, Draper etc. would be unthinkable. The problem is mainstream media only worried about masses and promoting nationality. Thats not going to inspire new talent. No one wants to play like ARod, Fisch, Querry, and those that do turn into the Youngs, Harrisons and Socks of the world, no real future.

"Daveed is a great champion, no?" "He played great today, but, eh, I did what I could, and, eh, I had a good day today. I played my best, yes."

I don't need to see that false victorious hurl to the ground. I'll keep en eye on the score but I'm not going to watch start to finish.

There's a good chance this will be more lopsided than the women's final.

Waste of time, they should just hand Ralph the trophy now and save everyone time and energy.

Sharapova won 8 games in 2 sets and actually threatened.

Ferrer won 8 games in 3 sets and was never close. What a terrible player he is. Such a travesty that he even made the final.
