Are Tsitsipas and Bautista Agut the only active eastern forehands?

Are Tsitsipas and Bautista Agut the only active eastern forehands or are there some guys with lower rankings that also use the eastern grip for the forehand?
I won't consider Federe and Del Potro active players unless I see them playing again

I would say Karatsev is more Semi-Western than Eastern.. that index knuckle should be right up on bevel #3 (behind the racket face). If anything, it's a mix of both, but I would lean more towards the SW grip

That picture is from 2015. Thanks for playing though.

You can say that is an extreme eastern. The name is not that big a deal. Bevel 3.5

Tsitsipas comes to mind. I remember seeing a chart where he was at an average of 3050 RPM on the forehand over 2019, which was pretty much on par with Nadal.
Tsitsi had even more absurd FH spin numbers in 2021 clay season, there was a thread on that. Higher than current Nadal or Berrettini, even higher than Sock IIRC.

I always saw Federer’s forehand grip listed as Semi-western, until I read some posts in this thread.

yeah, nah it's eastern for sure. his forehand is pretty unique, there's often so much racket rotation it just looks like it's got to be sw but his palm is definitely facing forward.

would be interesting to hear him talk about how he developed his mechanics, he was clearly influenced by sampras (who was influenced by lendl) and when he was younger he was a little more 'through the ball', less wrist break, but evolved into something pretty distinct from the rest of the tour.

The fact that Tsitsipas cannot hit a flat forehand to save his life while using eastern grips is mind boggling.

You make a good point right there: adjusted for the fact that they were playing with smaller frames (85 sq.in. for Sampras / 75 sq. in. for Lendl) and natural gut, both Lendl and Sampras were capable of imparting a great deal of spin on the FH despite using an Eastern grip. Though Sampras would do this mostly on the run with his buggy whipping motion.
