Or do you guys also wear some expensive leather shoes off the court? Desinger clothing and all? :)

I usually get AF1s, Dunks, Bapes, Jordans, etc., which are average of $100 and up.

I buy tennis shoes that are around $75-90, so I'd say I spend more on regular shoes.

I actually played in a pair of Bape sta a couple of times before I got my new pair of tennis shoes. :)

my most expensive pair of shoes are my cycling shoes and when i played soccer i usually broke the bank and bought predators (which were around $200), but i'd say overall I spend the most on tennis shoes (I buy the top of the line nikes, and try to get them from friends who have an employee store card, but even then) since they last for 5 months at the longest

I wear crappy clothing for tennis lol. But nice designer shirts in life.

I have two wal mart dry fit shorts and one dry fit shirt.

Eveything else are tight cotton t-shirts with the sleeves cut off.

Most expensive pair of shoes I have now actually are my Kenneth Cole Dress Shoes.

I wear some Puma Romas daily I paid $60 for those.

And my tennis shoes..well..I can pretty much get any shoe at anytime, as long as it isn't discontinued.

All my Nike tennis shorts..and dri-fit tops I wear when I workout, so they pull double duty.

I think I spend relatively the same, considering that casual clothes and shoes are more expensive than tennis apparel and shoes. I try to get the best I can in tennis and casual clothes aswell, so I think I spend quite alot of money on clothes...

Shoes worn with suits are often several times more expensive, but also last much longer, than the most expensive tennis shoes.

My tennis shoes and clothes also do double duty at the gym, for weightlifting and cardio.

I think the answer to this question might depend on your age and your occupation. If you have a job where you wear a suit, it is likely that you'll have several pairs of good shoes. I have a few pairs of dress shoes that cost me over $300. They are good shoes (Alden and Allen-Edmonds) but not near to top of the line shoes that can run several thousand a pair.

A good fitting pair of dress shoes can last you decades if they are kept with shoe trees and polished. Tennis shoes are going to be destroyed if you play much.

Very true. If you are wearing Allen Edmonds over Nike Vapor V's, of course, the dress shoes are more expensive. However, there are some expensive tennis shoes out there too. Not necessary the best, but just more expensive. Adidas got Prosche Design shoes that runs north of $300. The Stella McCartney women's one is also not cheap. And if you want to go all out you can go Prada or Hermes, again, all looks and not necessarily "good".

On the leather side you can easily slide in a pair of Rockport or Ecco for a lot less. I got a pair of Rockport with the air cushion that beats out my Prada shoes in comfort. But this I think I may get a pair of AE later on this year :):twisted:

I spend more money on tennis shoes then I do with tennis apparel. I would just wear a white tee and my nike dry-fit shorts for tennis apparel.

AE are classic good buys. I loved the Rockports dressies because they are so comfortable. Mephisto are good good combination,

White tees are OK but in the summer it gets too soaking wet for me. So I wear all kinds of poly shirts from soccer jerseys to golf shirts even. Tennis poly shirts aka dry fit do have their value. I think the vew federer shirts can be easily doubled as casual wear.

Lately my tennis shoes have been getting more expensive and my dress shoes are getting less expensive. Even though I get a lot of shoes on sale, I recently did pick up some Barricade Vs which were only slightly discounted.

My dress shoes for work I seem to care less and less about. $50 or $100+ doesn't really make that much of a difference to me as long as they are comfortable and look ok.

I spend most money on my golf shoes and the shoes I use for work.
Just bought 6 pair of the great Adidas Tour 360 Limited golf shoes ($250 a pair - I got them for $190 because I bought 6 pair) - yes 6 pairs, I'm crazy. I only have 3 pair of tennis shoes currently - one pair of Nike Vapor V's and two pair of Nike Max Air Breath Cage II's

I do plan to buy 2 pair of the new Lacoste tennis shoes, but they will be for leisure use only and not used on the tennis courts as I believe they are inferior to the Nike shoes I currently own and use on the tennis courts. But the Lacoste sure look great

It sounds like you are crazy! How quickly do you wear through a pair of golf shoes?

I doubt you could play enough golf to make good on that 6-month outsole guarantee for golf shoes.

I know I'm crazy.

I buy 6 pair of golf shoes and keep them for 3 seasons, and then I sell the old ones and buy new again. Usually the old ones still looks pretty good, because I have 5-6 pair to use from

I never wear through my golf shoes - I sell them before this happens.

Interesting notion.

I wear prada mostly. They are the most comfortable shoe i've worn. The one thing is that I wear them for many years (4-5yrs )before they see the trash can. They usually run from 200-400 depending if you get them on sale or not.

I think my tennis shoes are like $80. But i probably buy 2 or 3 pairs a season. I probably spend just the same or if not more on tennis shoes just because they wear out so fast. I wear Prince shoes.

Sure. There are many ways to keep a fine pair of leather shoes run more than 10 yrs. Especially with those leather outsole ones you can keep on replacing the heels and putting rubber on multiple times. For tennis shoes although I don't burn thru them but I must say 2-3 yrs is max.

Beside tennis, I walk like a penguin (said my wife) so my shoes last years....very minimal heel wear and got some pairs with over 10 years and counting. I do not buy cheap shoes but in long run it does not cost me much.

But with tennis shoes, I run hard to get to every droppers, and my shoes are lasting for 2-3 months per pair. So definitely costing more. I like lighter shoes but just ordered B5 to try and see if I can take advantage of 6-month guarantee for a free pair and improve MPG.
