What's with this country? This years Argentine Davis Cup team has made it to the final with, David Nalbandian asside, it's B squad. A year ago a list of the best Argentines read like a who's who in tennis. Especially clay-court tennis. Now Gaudio, Coria, Canas, Puerta....all these once top 10 talents from the last two years are gone. Why does this country produce great tennis players who can't avoid doping or just generally being head-cases? Can you imagine someone telling you this time last year that Argentina would be in the Davis Cup final and Augustin Calleri would be on the team?

And Calleri has been playing for argentina for a long time. And never dissapointed the fans.

Calleri has the best 1 hander in the game imo. Acasuso is a fantastic player and Chela has been ranked 15th in the world before.

I certainly think that Russia are the favourites and are going to win, but I wouldn't be surprised if Argentina steal it.

I wouldn't be suprised either. I was just merely pointing out that that Davis Cup team has taken some serious hits to put it mildly and they still made it to the final. Imagine the U.S. team if Roddick got a season ending injury, Blake got caught doping, so did Taylor dent after he made it to the Wimbledon final, and Marty Fish won the Aussie Open only to inexplicably drop off the face of the earth. It just shows you how deep that country's talent is.

Gaudio is a fantastic player, but mentally, sucks.
And Coria, I can't belive... He was top 10 in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Now is 114. Why? I don't know. I hope that the next year, he return to his best tennis.
