Arm brace for ulnar nerve pain

Hey guys, i've started having pain on my ulnar nerve 5 weeks ago, and since then i've stopped and made some rehab with my girlfriend who happens to be a physiotherapist. I'm much better now, and she thinks i'm ready for hitting the courts back. I want to use a arm brace for protection, which one do you think i should get?

I was thinking about Band-it, but i not sure it protects the ulnar nerve:

Any other suggestion?

P.S. I don't do polys or kevlar, only syngut and multis.

Ummm, why would you want compression on a nerve?? Isn't that what usually causes problems with nerves rather than resolve them? And what exactly do you believe you'd be bracing? This all sounds rather half-baked.

"The theory behind counter-force bracing is similar to the mechanics of a guitar. When a finger is placed on a string along the neck of the guitar, it reduces tension on the string distal to the fret where your fingers are located. A counter-force tennis elbow strap can be thought of as your fingers on the neck of the guitar (your forearm) and the extensor muscles, especially the extensor carpi radialis brevis, would be the guitar string, thus reducing tension of the muscles as they attach to the lateral epicondyle. The authors of the study review this concept well."

For what it's worth, I actually wore this same brace for about 15 minutes and couldn't stand it. I tossed it off and just played without it. I strung lower and it hasn't bothered me as much.

^^ sure, but he's not talking about a muscle. If indeed the problem is an inflamed nerve (and he certainly gives no sense of really knowing what the problem actually is), then pressure from a brace makes no sense.

El Diablo, i'm telling you as it is...
I was getting some pain on my ulnar nerve, it was diagnosed by an ortho making some kind of test where he twists your wrist, elbow and shoulder in a particular way and then you tell him where exactly it hurts. He said he was 100% sure it was the ulnar nerve. I've done 1 month of rehab, and now the pain is non-existent. I just want to know if i can get any extra protection to prevent the re-occurrence of this issue.

There's no guarantee that wearing that brace will mean 100% you won't have a re-occurrence.

IMO, it won't help BUT if by wearing it YOU feel like it does something to help protect the arm, by all means, wear it.

IMO, to reduce your chances of a re-occurrence, I'd continue the stretches and exercises that helped eliminate your symptoms.

Keep the arm flexible, loose, strong, well-conditioned and balanced is a better formula to try to prevent injury or re-injury.
