Well as he described it the COVID break was great for his knees and bad for his foot. So it stands to reason that inactivity is actually bad for his now 16-year old foot injury.

And I believe you, and you should know by now I am too and never expected Nadal to win 20 slams. I just miss when tennis felt magical, it's as stale as an episode of Raw and has been for a few years now tbh. Both ATP and WTA seriously need an injection of new stars actually doing something.

I stuck around for two years after that when Novak was going 6-6 for a season, just cheering him on, but understanding tennis waits for no man and even enjoyed Fedal revival. Him being on top doesn't impact my view of tennis, I love the sport and will always watch it. Plus I watch more of the younger guys now anyway.

Tennis will survive, trust in the process. You can't always enjoy what you see, but nothing lasts forever. I'll tell you this and you can hold me to this, as soon as one of the younger next gen wins a slam, the floodgates will open and you will be surprised how quickly the landscape will change. I already have my favs primed for the next few years here.
