I was hoping that the great members of this forum can help me authenticate an IG Radical Pro. I purchased from a Canadian seller who does business through a popular auction website and a popular general website whose name reminds me of warrior women and a South American river. Seller has 98% positive reviews. The seller/store also has a separate website.
I purchased this new IG Radical Pro only a couple months ago and the seller still had 10-12 new sticks in stock. Comparing the IG Radical Pro to my IG Prestige Pro, which I purchased from Tennis Warehouse years ago, there were a couple differences in the hologram sticker. Also, the authentic Prestige Pro had a clear rubber grip band while Radical Pro did not. The seller informed me that none of the IG Radical Pros he had in stock had the grip band.
Pictures of the authentic IG Prestige Pro. Notice the swirl in the hologram sticker (Camera flash used to exaggerate the swirl):
This is also the authentic IG Prestige Pro. The sticker has "d3o" on it.
Now the IG Radical Pro hologram sticker doesn't have the swirl and it has "D3O" on it rather than "d3o"
I assumed since both racquets are from the IG series, they would have the same hologram sticker.
Also, the IG Radical Pro is chipping paint a lot easier than my IG Prestige Pro.
Besides these signs, I don't notice anything else that sends up red flags.
Do you guys think I have a fake IG Radical Pro?
Or if someone has an authentic IG Radical Pro and can match the sticker with me, that'd be great.
Thanks for all your help. You guys are the best.
