Babolat Pure Aero 2019, no arm pain?

I've been using the Pure Aero 2019 for a while, tried the RPM Blast 1.30 and for the first time experienced some arm pain. I remember casually blocking a serve that went long and being extremely surprised by the stiff impact.

Never had arm problems with alu power 16L.

It sucks because the RPM blast improved the majority of my errors, balls going long.

Might try hyper-g 16L if my arm is in the clear after going back to alu, heard it offers better control.

PAs are so so powerful and have a crazy launch angle that I always found them hard to control without increasing the tension or gauge of the strings which leads to arm issues. They also chew up softer strings like crazy.
I guess that's the price one has to pay for using the Spin Machine.

Suggest you try Hyper-G 16 (1.30) if you are chasing Control potential. The 16L / 1.25mm will quickly turn the PA into a "Rocket Launcher".

I didn't know if it was the gauge or the strings that was giving me the control because the only string iv ever used was alu power 16L. If stiffness wasn't a problem I would have found my perfect setup.

I also don't know if its the blast or the gauge giving me the arm problems, if 1.25 blast didn't have the same stiffness result in string stiffness tool I would have given it a whirl.

It sucks because I know I don't play as well with other frames (tried speed mp 360+, blade 98 18x20, clash 100). Probably because I learnt tennis with the aero.

I tried the pure strike 100 and found myself pretty much at home compared to the head/wilson racquets, maybe its something about babolat.

Oft repeated ... If you are happy with your string set-up but the racquet still feels stiff ... try stuffing some Blu Tack inside the handle of the racquet. Try at least 5g as a starting point but head towards 10g if possible. That stuff (or silicone get for a more permanent solution) can absorb quite a bit of the impact vibration and make the racquet feel a lot more comfortable.

Of course, stuffing mass into the handle is going to change the Racquet Balance a bit but doing that will usually improve most intermediate to advanced players' strokes.
