Hi I play with the old PURE STRIKE TOUR (Black and Pink), I am looking for an update and tried the white and red PURE STRIKE VS TOUR, but I didnt feel it quite the same, do you think the New PURE STRIKE can feel the same than the older Pure Strike Tour or can you recommend me a similar one to the older PURE STRIKE TOUR, please,

I really appreciate your help!!!

I might be mixing up the PS 100 with the VS Tour, but I believe the VS Tour was not based on the 2nd gen Pure Strike design. It was re-branded from Pure Storm line so it makes sense that you didn't get consistency in the feel between those two.

Pure Strike VS is a different line (different mold altogether) than 1st gen black and red Pure Strike Tour which you play with. The two lines play very different.

The closest to your 1st gen black and red Pure Strike Tour would be slightly weighted up 2nd gen (white and red) Pure Strike 18x20 and/or weighted up 3rd gen (latest one) Pure Strike 18x20. In all honesty though and in my opinion, nothing currently in Babolat offerings plays exactly like 1st gen Pure Strike Tour.

Also, this latest generation of Pure Strike does have a Pure Strike Tour being offered but it is a 16x19 pattern, so will play very different from black and red Pure Strike Tour (which was 18x20).

Just like @haqq777 mentioned, If you wait around about a month, the new Pure Strike Tour 3rd gen will be out.

Thanks you vey much for your answers, I could wait, I not in a hurry to change, as long as the feel is very similar, or any other brand that may be similar to the Pure Strike I play with,

There are many players that say the first gen Pure Strike played horribly. I have to agree with them. I currently use the second gen. Switched to it based on TW rave review. Not disappointed. The current third gen plays with a more muted feel. They put the dampening material at the three and nine position. The second gen has it located at top of the handle giving it a crisper and more feeling response. I would wait for the fourth gen VS to come out. Tennisnerd actually had one. It is black and red. Looks great. Hopefully it plays more like second gen project one seven rather than first or third gen.

I play with the first gen pure strike tour and love it. It feels so plush and i feel i can place shots much better than open pattern rackets. Sure, I hit the ball long sometimes but I definitely have more confidence hitting aggressively. I also prefer the thin beam but I have to admit it seems a little weak the way they have those side grooves on such a heavy hitter racket. Never used Babolat racquets before but this one felt so right. I strung this around 45 with Sonic pro edge strings and was able to get my serve in with slight pocketing and decent spin on second serves

A lot of players prefer the Black/ Atomic Red. It’s a nice racquet, but has the one if the tightest 18x20 patterns ever. I used it for awhile and I’m not sure why I stopped :) I would imagine 18ga. Poly at 42-44lbs would work great in this one.
