Bagels and Cream Cheese

i finally had one on Wednesday, and they were sooooooooooooo good, i ate 3 of them that day, man i havent had one in yrs., and i finally ate them again

Yeah. Try lox and bagels too. I've lately been experimenting with limberger cheese spread, fresh sliced onion on top of onion bagels. Tastes great, but my wife abhors it!

Hey I had that for bfast this morning.....toasted just right, with a little bit of guava jelly and then top it with the cream cheese...mmm MMMMM! Delish!!

whole wheat bagel with peanut butter microwaved. thats even better. the PB is warm and bit runny. mmmmmm. or you could toast the bagel then put PB on. PB would warm up real quick, so good

Oh Vyse! That's about one of my recipes: I go with a cinammon-raisin bagel, with peanut butter and a topping of honey.

(boiled on premises...i.e. lucky enough to view them being 'boiled' on premises in a 'bagel-joint' in the background):

Lox with bagel: sesame, onion, poppy seed, or an "everything" bagel...or whatever your call...

Salmon: hand-cut salmon with NO 'blood spots' (individually-wrapped/each slice in waxed paper--the 'oil' from which looks like someone poured orange soda on it by the time you get it home).

with:

a container of a chilled chive-infused "schmeer" along with (home-prepped) 'sides' of:

chopped egg
chopped red onion
slice of beefsteak tomato (goy-optional)
chopped fresh dill
capers
sweet (scandi/german) mustard

(with my 'goy-boy' "Northern European" bagel-alternative offering):
on "black" bread.

...and while imho recognizing that bagels are to lox what 'kegels' are to love.

Squeeze me!...Pleese me!....

Barney Greengrass on the Upper West Side is my favorite--I try to hit it every time I'm in NYC. Every now and then I'll get some Nova, soak it in lemon juice, toast the bagel, spread the cream cheese, sink some capers in cream cheese, and then on goes the Nova and a thin slice of onion. Also goes great on pumpernickel with cucumbers.
