This tweet prompted me to look at bagel stats against other member of Big 3 :

The older he gets the more it feels like he gifts a game to the opposing player to avoid embarrasing him. Not that it applies to Fedal, but matches like Rune USO 2021 come to mind. Maybe even the most recent blowout...

His single match or single tournament peak just isn’t good enough. He has accumulated a lot of numbers, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that his peak player just does not compare to Federer’s nor Nadal’s.

Rome 2019 was worst display of professionalism from Rome TD. Fair play to Nadal to bagel Nole in 2020 RG. That was op.

I had 2 tennis wishes after 2018 comeback. Bagel federer once and beat Nadal at RG when he is playing well.

Nole did the second in 2021.

It took the last set of the last match ever for federer to get bageled, and not by Djokovic, but still it was very tasty.

Both wishes full filled in under 1 month.

I don't get the fascination with bagels. Of course, nobody wants to get bageled, but when it happens, it's just a bad result of one set out of a Bo3 or Bo5. I'd much rather win two sets 6-3, 6-3 than one set 6-0.

Generally players who hand out bagels don’t lose the match.

You have to be a Nadal to take a bagel and still beat the opponent in a big match ( remember the match against Thiem ?? )
I think Rafa also lost a match after delivering bagel against Davy, don't think it was big match but Doha final

Well. If the set is completely lost better off putting all your energy into the next set. Djoker is no dummy. He hasn’t dominated this long since the Obama administration being stupid.

Federer's top offensive gear was such that when he really got going with it, it was an onslaught of unpredictability - difficult even for the best of elites to read what Roger was going to do and of course that much more difficult to stop it. I think the 'always guessing' element of it was also mentally tiring to deal with, which helped Roger score the bagels.

Rafa's top gear on clay needs no explanation.

Djokovic has that scary af top gear too, pretty sure he scored a whole lot of bagels overall. Just against Federer with his serve and Nadal with the crazy defense, it's extremely difficult to force complete surrender. Extremely difficult to force it from Novak too, obviously, seeing as the stars for that aligned only a couple times.
