Service winner!
Match Point Federer, Nadal on serve!
Fed chases three slams, throws 3 lobs, but hits the last one long!!!

Twist serve on grass!! What was that bounce!!?? Fed's return actually HIT the roof!
Fed serves 10-11, to the clay side!

Nadal wins!!! He get a return winner out of a 2nd serve because of a bad grass bounce!!!

Nice match but apparently it was just a complete show for money :(
It was more suitable for people who don't understand much about tennis I guess.

I wasn't so sure it was a fix until they both conveniently double faulted when they could end the match earlier. Well, time for nadal to win in his home town since he let federer had it last time in korea.

I agree and I am a Nadal fan. But having said that...it was awesome to watch! They should change the AO to this surface. it would be fun to watch on a regular basis.

I like both but it was obvious both were making more mistakes than they normally would to even the score out. Andres, the match was fixed you know. I watched it too.

I think they started out serious. But after the second set they agreed to end it in a long huge toe break. I mean double fault on match point???/ and then a bunch of crappy returns....fed actually hit the freaking roof with one shot. Ridiculous.

Yes exactly. They both started out a little bit serious but then realized they had to stretch it out for the fans. So they starting missing and double faulting to prolong the match all the way conveniently to a 12-10 tiebreaker that Rafa wins in Mallorca.

Anyway - thanks to you guys for the commentry as could not watch the match - they should hire you for Wimbledon as it was really well done! By the sound of it though there wasn't really a winner!

well put. thats what I was trying to say. They obviously got pissed at some points early on. But then it just turned into a show.

Regardless it was really awesome to watch. i LOVED it!! I wish I could try that!

Why not make this a regular thing at the AO. They are always looking for a surface other than clay, grass or hard...here is their answer!

Fixed, fixed, fixed. check out my post on the general player section, I predicted the score of the third set tiebreak while it was happening. Everytime one person gets a sizeable lead, their level goes down and lets the other catch up.

Can you imagine how long Rafa's matches would be if in addition to drinking from each water bottle, fixing his hair and scratching his butt, he had to change shoes every 3 games?

Four surfaces, clay, grass, deco-turf, rubber.

first of all i don´t think this should surprise anyone. exhibitions are like wrestling matches, the result is pre determined. somehow i didn´t think Roger would win this. he won the last exhibition. this time it was Rafa´s turn in his hometown.

Just a little correction here, he doesn't really scratch his butt, as far as I recall, I believe he just tries to pull out his wedgie.

It was an exhibition match for crying out loud who cares.
Quit whining about the level of tennis or whether the match was fixed.

Exactly. No one should worry about what this means for either player going into the French Open or Wimbledon. This wont affect either player´s confidence or form. Despite what fans of both players say or think.
