Berdych: "Federer had moments when he acted like a boy and did stupid things"

Tomas Berdych:

Those who wanted to compare the greatest aces by numbers would find arguments for different players. The number of Grand Slam titles may be the most objective measure, but there are athletes who have left a huge mark. I think Roger will leave a bigger dent than Djokovic. I think he is a bigger icon than Nadal. Maybe because he started this great era. What he did for tennis cannot be outweighed by any results.

Roger behaved humanely and pleasantly. If you met him in the dressing room or somewhere else backstage, you wouldn't know what he is. On the contrary, he had moments when he acted like a boy and did stupid things.

There were a lot of people who watched matches or started playing themselves because of his skill and performance on the court. That's what makes him superior to others. Though of course, I can understand if a fan finds something special about Nadal, Djokovic or other players.

Berdych said that... normal he has always hated Rafa.

By the way, I think Thomas is wearing a Rolex, right?

OP supposedly hates Fed, but writes about him whenever he can… :D
Why do you think so?
Berdych states that "Roger will leave a bigger dent than Djokovic" and that Federer "is a bigger icon than Nadal", see bolded content in my post above.
As a Federer hater I wouldn't publish that, Berdych interview appreciates Federer.

Also its possible to copy Federer's game, whereas its not possible to copy Nadal's game, so I see why some would take up tennis with Federer in mind (y)
Federer and Djokovic are both players you can copy.
Whereas Nadal is an inhuman gift from God, albeit an injury-prone one....

read the note, the headline is misleading

Here's the quote:

What does that actually mean? Like... gender, ethnic background, age?

Federer is known as a prankster in the locker room who plays jokes on other players and coaches. I think that’s what Berd is referring to. He is basically saying that he is not always serious in his demeanor.

Huh? Federer by far has the most difficult strokes to master

I'm surprised no Fed fans have called Tomas "Derbych" yet.

I think there are some clips of Svitolina and Monfils (in the common rooms, probably) where Fed suddenly pranked both of them. Fed is a funny guy.

Berdych: Says something favorable about Federer that’s pretty much equivalent to what everyone in the universe has been saying for the last 3 weeks. (Including Nadal who called Federer “probably the most important person in the history of our sport” in London - and wasn’t wearing a Rolex.)

TTW Conclusion: BERDYCH MUST BE A PAID OFF NADAL HATER.

It means he didn’t make a stink about being “The Great Roger Federer” in the locker room. Rather he acted like everyone else and not like a conceited superstar.

He was kind to everybody and that left an impression.

So much so they gave him the sportsmanship award like 13 times or something crazy like that.

Maybe Feddy paid him

Of course! That’s why you mentioned the Rolex.

Jelly TTW has the secret scoop that Feddy also paid Nadal and about 400,000,000 other folks across the media world this month.

3rd Wheeler Feddy controls everything and has to make the poor people say all the nice things!!!

Mean mister Feddy is only more lauded than Peety Weety cause he pays the poor little people to say all the nice things!!!!

This isn’t a stick to beat him. Tomas is just saying that Roger is more human like outside of the limelight, he’s willing to joke and play games with people and act like a kid. It’s not a bad thing.

Yeah exactly. OP just tried to twist this very wholesome message into a reading comprehension test LOL

It's clear from the context that it was a compliment. Despite Federer sometimes giving off arrogant vibes, he was very approachable and just a fun goofy guy behind the scenes.

Federer is just textbook-style, Nadal is all unorthodox.
Yeah nobody masters tennis, but they copy players (y)
I'm yet to see anyone in pro tennis even try to copy Nadal.
