sort of, but he is saying that its the "pro's ball of choice". Thats a load of crap though isnt it, because i thought pros practice with the same balls that they use in their next tournament. SO before the Aussy Open they would practice with wilson balls?

Picked up 6 cans of Dunlops at Sports Authority for $8.99 or something...after 3 sets they were in much better condition than Penn or Wilson have been, which I've used it the prior 6 matches or so. The bounce is better, and there is more felt left. When I was playing a lot ten years ago, my partners and I decided Dunlops were the best balls, and now I remember why. They were in better condition than the balls that I used indoors on a decaturf court 2 weeks ago, which were basically garbage after 3 sets. I think those were Wilson.

I have to agree tha Dunlop Grand Prix balls are by far the best. The do seem heavier than the others, but they last forever and I always get good bounce. I've gon through 2 or 3 dozen cans of them and have never gotten a bad one. I actually like the heavier feel.

I like the Penn ATP Ball as well. I also really like the Volkl 4 ball can. The Volkl balls seem a little lighter and more lively than other balls.

Favorites: US Open, ProPenn, cheap plain ol Wilsons. I hate Penn Tributes, they are hard as rocks. Actually I like playing with them against pushers, the extra zip helps.

The best ball is the one that's fuzzy, green or "optic yellow", has a decent amount of presure and it hit past my opponent for an ace or a winner.

Really, does it matter which ball you play with? They're all pretty similar. I'm happy as long as have enough felt and presure so that I can play.

Dunlops definitely last the longest. I suspect they have a heavier rubber core that holds pressure better, but boy when new they are heavy...

i went to ohio and i bought a couple of slazenger balls and i hit with them and i loved it.... the sound of the ball sounded good, and it was the perfect weight. i knew i should have bought more of them.... i cant find them anywhere here in virginia:-(

Lately, I also have been using Dunlop Hardcourt balls and I'm pretty impressed with them. You can easily get 2 days worth of high bouncing non fluff-up results from them.

I've felt Dunlop balls wear out rather quickly, but I don't use them anymore because I only play with regular duty; the stores around my area don't care regular duty Dunlop.

I keep hearing people say that dunlops are heavy, i think some of the penns feel heavy.Or maybe it is because the penns are harder.I have weighed the grand prixs, the wilsons + the penns + they all weigh 2 ounces.

Oh, testify!

Personally, I think the best ball is the one I can keep in court longer than my opponent. Every now and then, I think I find one, but then the next point happens, and the ball must get worn out or something...

I agree and also because they are still made in the USA.
