Best Wilson 95 model?

Between the K and the N, it sounds like the Ncode version is preferred by the vast majority on the forum here. Which is the best of all the versions that have come out over the years?

My personal preference ranks in this order:

N95 16x18
6.1 95 Classic
K95X
N95 18x20
K95 16x18
K95 18x20
BLX 95 16 x 18

For me, it's the n6.1 95 16x18. Love this racquet! Its static weight and swingweight are spot on. I demo (and possibly buy) racquets only if their specs are close to the n6.1's.

On the other hand, I feel the opposite for the K6.1 95 models. No love there at all. The closest I got to liking them is the k6.1x but it's still way behind the n6.1.

I've only hit with the n95 and the k95, but I far preferred the n95. To this day I've never volleyed better with anything, and the only real complaint I had about it was its huge beam. Everything else was a dream.

the k95 was a totally different story. String setups I had on the n95 had absolutely no feel when used for the k95. I got discouraged and sold my k95 before long, maybe I should've tinkered with it a little bit more before doing so. But from what I was hearing around here, and what I was feeling on court, it wasn't going to get any better.

Anyways, now I'm with the KBT's and I'm having a great time :) (oh btw I used the 16x18 version on both the n95 and k95)

Yep the ncode six one 95 by miles the best one... If I can find 2x brand new in L2 grip size I would probably buy them, I like that racquet and the i.prestige mps that I use atm, I really want to try the BLX 95 and the new youtek prestige mid plus.

N95 - both patterns - excellent all court frame that ticks loads of the right boxes imo... slightly under-rated for reasons I can't discern.

Is the soon-to-be-old-model K SixOne 95 Team the exact same mold as the nCode Six-One 95 Team ? I held the latter in my hand and the head seems slightly more rounded than the K SixOne Team, which I've only seen via pics on this website...:???:

Love my ncode 6.1. My friend has the k6.1 and just isn't the same to me, something is amiss. Mine are getting beat up and the closest thing I can find to it are the Babolat Pure Storm Tours which to me feel just a tad more flexible maybe a smidge less pop but may have to go that way as it's hard to find any quality n6.1s for sale.

I can vouch for the HPS 6.1 95.

Managed to get two brand new ones about 2 years ago for £50 - bargain.

I've got the 18X20 and it offers so much control, brilliant serving stick, and just very very solid.

Built like a tank too. Anybody used these frames for a number of years vouch for their longevity?

I did get to hit briefly with the new BLX 6.1 16 by 18 and was NOT blown away. Still prefer my ncode 6.1 probably mostly based on familiarity but did find it more stiff and little less pop. Could of course be the strings. I string mine at about 56 and currently trying out the Prince Lightning on one and Lux/Prince Topspin on the other. This was strung with Wilson Sensation and felt about 58-59. Nice, liked it but not enough to plunk down $200 when I'm still loving my Ncode, just need more of them.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the BLX. I'm really hoping the BLX will be close to the n61 95, which is my favorite all-around racket. Like you, I couldn't get into the k61 95, which doesn't have the feel or right combo of power/control that the nCode has. Prior to the nCode, I had used the HPS 61 95, which now feels very harsh compared to the n61. I wish Wilson would reintroduce the n61 95.

I definitely have some love for the n6.1 18x20. Looking at the specs alone, it wasn't terribly impressive but there was something when you hit with it that made that stick come alive. Had it not been for the Rebel, I would have gone with it instead.

The k6.1 was pure garbage. Too stiff, no feel, and made me want to chop my arm off.

I'm still using the n95 16x18 and it's the best. I gave the k95 a try but it was too stiff for my taste. n95 feels like a slightly more forgiving PS6.0. If you can get your hands on an n95, give it a run before you spend big bucks on the "new" technology/paintjobs.

N95 I found to be a great racquet, I still have 7 of them hanging on my wall, I prefer the 16x18 to the 18x20, even though the 16x18 has some hot spots on the string bed. I have a few of each though and found much better targeting on serve with the 18x20.

K95 way a horrible racquet in my opinion, hollow, harsh and stiff, it just lost everything there was to love about the Ncode.

Exo3 Rebel is similar to the N95 but more shoulder friendly and has a more consistent string bed.

Hi Ljub was just talking about this on UK racketaholics http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?p=4243750&posted=1#post4243750 and Im after a couple of n95s to back up my 88s. I wish you lived here (in the cold), I may have been able to persuade you to sell a couple.

I sold my Rebels in the end, couldnt get used to my erraticness.

Hey Meaghan,

I want to hold onto the Ncodes anyway, I ended up really dialing my game into the Reb's, I am probably playing my most consistent tennis ever with it. I am out with a elbow injury at the moment though (not racquet related)
