Bold Prediction: Neither Nadal nor Murray will win a slam in 2014

Nice haha. Federer could win a major this year I feel. I would be really happy if he can get another Wimbledon or US Open

Absolutely. I would be thrilled.

Let's be honest though, if anyone goes on this year to win all the remaining majors, we'd be surprised. Nobody is stepping up as the alpha male this year so I imagine that the Majors will be split.

I'm going with the even bolder prediction that neither Nadal nor Murray nor Federer nor Wawrinka will win a slam in 2014. Guess who I think is going to win the next 3 majors ;)

Wawrinka's already won one though. Would be great if none of the 'big four' won one this year...

Oops I meant in the remaining three majors of the year. Sorry about that haha. Thanks for catching my mistake!

No probs. Just curious, why don't you use a 2-hander since Djokovic is your favorite player?

And who is your favorite pro 2-handed and 1 handed backhand?

My favorite 2-hander is Gulbis, and 1-hander is Almagro.

My dad taught me a one hander when I was 9 and I stuck with it since. I have considered switching but it's not 100% natural. My favorite 2-hander is Djokovic and my favorite 1-hander is Federer. I like Almagro a lot though.

It would be great for tennis. Federer has won enough Majors tho. We need surprise winner at Wimbledon. Stan prob not going to do it. Who then would be awesome to win it? I am not sure.....

With Murray and Nadal, I can see Murray not winning anything this year and Nadal winning the French. Sadly I would rather have Murray win a grand slam, and Nadal to never win a grand slam again.

I think Nadal will win sadly. He's too good. Murray, who i want to win seems a bit resting on his laurels at this point. He may come back I hope so but I don't see much this year. I hope I'm wrong.

They will win zero slams this year.

Djokovic wins RG and USO while Federer wins Wimbledon this year.

I agree that Murray and NAdal are not winning slams this year.
Actually, Nadal is not winning any more slams period.

This year could be to Nadal what 1985 was to JMac, you know what i'm saying?

It won't be, wishful thinking on your part. McEnroe was coked up and partying up a storm by that point. He lost a lot of interest and motivation after Borg retired. Nadal has the slam count as motivation. He will get back on track at some point imo.

 Come on Chico you can't seriously believe this?

Nadal is in quite sharp decline. I am saying this for the last 8 or so months and no one believed me than, however it is becoming obvious to everyone now. What has Nadal won since USO? What are his results? How is he playing? He is getting beat by Ferrers and Almagros at his pet tournaments. If he can't win MC and Barcelona any more, what is he going to win? Vina Del Mar or Sao Paolo?

He is going to be 28 soon, with mileage of 35 years old player and knees of 50 year old man. He is not winning anything anymore.

I want that to happen, but Nadal will win at least one of the next clay M1000 and most probably Roland Garros.
