Boris Becker no longer bankrupt, court says

Former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker's bankruptcy has officially ended, after a UK judge found he had done "all that he reasonably could do" to fulfil his financial obligations.

The German tennis player was declared bankrupt in June 2017, owing creditors almost £50m.

The High Court was told he still owed about £42m - but lawyers for Becker said the 56-year-old had reached a settlement agreement with the trustees appointed to oversee his finances.

They said Becker, who was jailed in 2022 for hiding £2.5m in assets to avoid paying debts, will provide a "substantial sum" into the bankruptcy estate.

So not bankrupt but broke.

Becker brand is worth a lot of money. The coaching, commentary and media gigs should be bringing in a lot of dough. Not sure if advertisers and sponsors are staying away.

He does need to exercise discipline and stay out of trouble in the broom closet.
He can create new heirs to his fortune if he doesnt show that racket control.

I'd pay 50.00 for an autograph and a photo....
I'm beyond autographs myself but wouldnt mind a cup of tea at wimbledon for a 100 quid. Hey.. i wished him well with his bankrupcy , not that it made a difference to his prison mess.

He should try some sponsorship deals with:
Weight Watchers
Pukka Pies
Becks
Durex
...not in any order

Listening to his commentary is worst than watching paint dry.

Henman, chris bradnam .. a good chunk of british female commentators.. all definitely worse. Boris is too amusing with his accent and odd idioms to bore me.
