I'm not blaming him if he did to be honest, I'd consider it a smart strategic move.
I agree that Fed may come alive on grass, nothing motivates him like Wimbledon.

Biased stats: Tim didn't get a chance to win (and he would have done) the Olympics on grass while he was on tour, Murray only has washed up old man Federer (who still owns him on the green), Clay specialist Nadal and "Bambi on ice" (Djokovic) to contend with whereas Tim had Sampras, Ivanisevic and Krajicek and lastly Tim played on real grass, not green treacle.
