Assuming both players make it to the final tomorrow and none of them is injured: Who here really believes that Novak can beat Rafa, considering Rafa pushed him to three sets even on hard court.

i think it's possible, but Nadal needs to be having an off day. If he's on song i still he's the better clay courter.

Even if Nadal is 100 percent and Joker is 100 percent....I would say djoker has 10 percent chance to win.

Djokovic had many chances to beat Rafa on clay before, 2 years ago He could've won in MC and in Madrid, but Nadal escaped.
This time around Djoker is a lot better player, so is Nadal, but Djokovic doesn't have a 1 hander like Fed, has a better return, and He will use the drop shots against rafa just like He did in the HC matches in US, and Nadal has no answer for that.
I'd say Nadal is the favorite, but Djokvovic has 40% cahnces to win this match and He will finally do it, Bellucci will be a warm up strategy practice to be used against Nadal's.

Yes he can.

Will he? That is a different question.

Djokovic will most probably beat Nadal tomorrow. It's time to punish him on a clay court for the first time.

I don't see why not since Nadal isn't exactly playing great CC tennis right now and this court is pretty fast.

I agree with this too. Nadal isn't playing the best right now and if he has to lose on clay, I'd rather it was here. Rome plays more like the French so there we'll get a better gauge of his form going into RG.

i think it's going to be tougher for nadal than the federer match because djokovic can hit the winners like federer can but he would make less errors.

Heck, Federer could have beat Nadal in the SF if he had the balls to do it.

Novak has the balls.

I said it before it even happened.

does Djokovic need to beat Nadal 6-1 6-1 6-0 or something at the French Open this year to prove everyone wrong?

He beat Nadal in Indian Wells, fluke win.
He beat Nadal in Miami, let's see if he can beat him on clay.
He beat Nadal in Madrid, let's wait for the French Open.

What's next?

Next is Madrid was too high altitude. Let's see him beat him on slow clay.

For starters, let's see if he can even up the H2H. At the moment Nadal owns him 16-10.

Not mentally. He choked at 4-0 and serving for the set at 5-4. Nadal saved tons of BP's. He's still the tougher mentally.

sure, Nadal was good enough to make it a more competitive match. and if not Nadal's never-give-up attitude probably the match would've been even more one-sided. Nobody doubts Nadal's mental toughness, he never gives up but he was simply outplayed today

16-10 Nadal-Djokovic = around 60 % of matches won = just about the same as Davydenko-Nadal.

Is Davydenko owing the h2h, then?

If yes, I'm perfectly fine with that! Cause Davydenko won't be playing Nadal anymore since he's got problems winning consecutive matches while Djokovic is on a huge roll and will own Nadal again wherever they play
