After Kerber won Wimbledon 2018, she's the only player to win more than 2 Grand Slams in the 2010s decade (2010-2019) along with Serena Williams who won 12 majors in this decade.

Also is the 4th player who won more than 2 majors that is currently playing, the others are Serena with 23, Venus with 7, Sharapova with 5 and Kerber with 3.
In the mens game. Only 5 players have done that.

Serena had the following rivals in the 2010-2017 era:
Kerber 3 GS between 2010 and 2017
Muguruza 2 Grand Slams between 2010 and 2017
Ostapenko 1 Grand Slam between 2010 and 2017
Halep 1 Grand Slam between 2010 and 2017

Old Serena won 12 Majors in the 2010-2017 era.

Federer had the following rivals in the 2003-2007 era:
Nadal 3 GS on clay but still a teenager on grass
Roddick 1 Grand Slam
Safin 1 Grand Slam between 2003 and 2007
Old Agassi 0 Grand Slams since Federer won his first one
Hewitt 0 Grand Slams between 2003 and 2007
Phillippoussis 0 Grand Slams between 2003 and 2007
Baghdatis 0 Grand Slams between 2003 and 2007

Young Federer won 12 Majors in the 2003-2007 decade.

I count 3. Murray, Wawrinka and Cilic.

Are you saying the WTA is more interesting because you never know who will win?

Kerber winning is hardly a shocker. This is #3 for her. Here's hoping Anderson wins the men's, the ATP needs a power hitting champion and a new Slam winner. When you think back on the 80s and 90s on the monster servers who won, it has been a long time since a big big server won Wimbledon in the ATP (yes Federer has a wonderful serve but he does not reach the level of an Anderson) It is about time!

Oh, my mistake.

Not at all, I’m not a big fan of the women’s game. I’m saying they’re not consistent and it’s pretty much a coin toss on who’s gonna win a tournament once Serena is out. ATP has champions, who can prove their domination times and times again and create legendary rivalries.

As @ADuck once said, WTA is predictably unpredictable.

Serena also had Azarenka and sharapova winning 2 majors in that time.

Who in the men's game right now is consistent besides these freaks of nature known as the Big 4. Without them the men's game would be unpredictable also.

It wasn't a shocker. But I doubt many people were picking her to win. She hasn't been doing much lately

Well, no one really. That’s why we have a super weak era in men’s tennis now too and it’s the reason Big 3’s Slam count get and will get "inflated". But there’s at least 4 people in Big 4 (duh) so we can still enjoy their rivalries (Serena is alone) and we have this thing called "Slam race" which the most interesting aspect of the men’s tennis right now.

ATP will be very close to WTA once these freaks of nature retire. It won’t be pretty.
